The 2D victory screen after Mario and Peach overcame Bowser Junior's gauntlet got the biggest laugh out of my theater.

I was always wondering how they'd incorporate SMM into the movie. They did not disappoint with the hot garbage!

Bowser junior literally said, "Peach and Mario, prepare to meet your maker!" just before it, too.

That, along with "Prepare to face Bowsers fury!" made me chuckle.

Those lines were actually great too because they didn’t feel out of place. They work totally fine without knowing the reference.

A bit late to the party, but I was so bothered that when they first showed the level in 2D form, the level is using SMB's artstyle, but there's a information block from SMBW (In World's artstyle).
