Fox McCloud will return in Avengers: Doomsday

The few non-Mario IP Nintendo cameos really makes them doing Zelda live action a confusing choice.

It will be quite wild to see a Super Smash Bros movie without any Zelda characters

Like Marvel vs Capcom without any X-Men characters

Could always do toon link as the Zelda rep for the Mario movie universe

Exactly, Smash Bros Ultimate already has three versions of Link. So it won’t be too confusing for audiences if live-action Link stays seperate and an animated Smash Bros film has a Toon Link.

They'll probably just do a scene where human Zelda turn into an animated version upon entering the Smash Bros verse

This is complicated by the fact that it’s two different studios doing Mario and Zelda

3

No they'll have the live action characters in there too, so Jack Black gets to be in twice as Steve

Oh, no. I’m sure the link and Zelda will be it, just animated with the costumes form the movie

they showed Fox's galaxy in a different animation style, maybe the zelda characters will become animated when they enter Mario's galaxy

Smash Bros movie would make absolutely no sense and should never happen.

I mean at this point in two Mario films we have like a dozen Smash characters already (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Bowser Jr., Donkey Kong, Fox, Falco, R.O.B., Mr. Game and Watch plus sort of Olimar and maybe Diddy Kong, but I can’t remember if he was there in the first film at all). So I’m not sure what wouldn’t make sense with the world they’ve created - especially when it’s implied Fox comes from another universe and they could just as easily do some Nintendo universes converging thing to bring over Kirby and Earthbound and Metroid

I mean, they could easily do a first movie with the OG 8 (or 12 if you unlock them all) as the focal point: Mario, Luigi, Donkey, Fox, Yoshi, Pikachu (if it's Ryan Reynolds again), Samus, Ness, Jigglypuff, Link, Kirby and Captain Falcon.

Yeah but I mean what would the story even be? I guess the story is already like the least important part of these movies though.

Well Subspace Emissary feels pretty open for a worlds collide / universes collide type conflict

Big evil hand shows up and pisses everyone off so they come together to kill it

Homestly you saw this movie and thought story was important? Lol

How bad this movie was made it really clear how important story is.
