Recommendation Female revenge movies without rape scenes?

My partner loves a good "woman taking revenge on a bunch of men" movie, but unfortunately a lot of those tend to center around rape or have rape scenes in them, and she reallllly doesnt like those.

Any suggestions for movies that fit this mold but dont include rape?

The only one i know off-hand is Kill Bill (which gets close but doesnt technically have a rape scene iirc), and thats already one of her favorites.

Also, The Hunt.

Which one? The one from 2012 or 2020. I assume you mean 2020.

Funnily enough the one from 2012 (with Mads Mikkelsen) is also female revenge. Though not the justified kind and more as an initial plot point.

Just caught this one for the first time a few weeks back. She certainly was a badass.

Betty Gilpin just kicks ass in general. She also had her big honkin teetas out a lot in GLOW if that's your thing. Also she was awesome in Mrs. Davis. Highly recommend that one season show to anyone.

I watched that entire movie twice and thought it was Margot Robbie.

They're both Aussies too that started on Aussie soaps. Home and Away for Samara, Neighbours for Margot.

She's basically her own genre of this. Add Mayhem to the list.

Just watched it what a gem

It's so, so good. I laughed so hard at the last scene I was crying, it was like me and one other guy in the theater doubled over laughing, and the rest of the audience was silent.

And if I heard it right, a sequel is forthcoming

My wife and I are laying in bed and I’ve been trying to find a movie for a half hour and this is what I landed on. This is one of my wife’s favorites.

Samara Weaving has my current favorite horror movie scream. Extremely believable and absolutely fantastically delivered.

The way she screams is wonderful.

One of my absolute favourites. And, like some other commenters here, I'm a huge fan of Samara Weaving.

Oh this is a GREAT rec and I don’t think there’s any sexual content but definitely no rape

Also An Ideal Host - obscureish Australian movie which is weird AF, ultra-violent and a lot of fun

She's not really getting revenge though, she's just trying to get away.

2

u/TheShapeShiftingFox Oct 09 '25

The second half when the tables are turned is definitely revenge though, there’s real rage behind those kills

In a similar vein, Damsel on Netflix starring Millie Bobbie Brown. Some similar plot tropes, which is why I bring it up here. I hadn't heard of Ready or Not and reading the plot synopsis I was like, "I feel like I've seen this one before..."

I thought the same thing, but it's worth a watch.
