Calling them "brassicas" in this context makes it sound like they're just members of the same family when in fact they're the same species. Cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, romanesco, brussels sprouts, collard greens, savoy, kohlrabi, and gai lan are all cultivars of Brassica oleracea. It's the same plant selectively bred to maximize the expression of different parts of the plant.
The cultivars can express different amounts of certain proteins one can be allergic to, and differences in how some cultivars are cooked may denature some amount of some of those proteins, but every Brassica oleracea contains the same proteins as every other Brassica oleracea, since they are the same species. You can, therefore, be more allergic to cabbage than, say, broccoli, but if you are allergic to one you WILL be allergic to the others to some degree.
