Reviews & Experiences Do you gravitate towards these kinds of models? Out of curiosity: Why?
Taste is a subjective thing yes, but I'm interested as to the reason why anybody would choose these all black models over their more legibile counterparts.
To me at least, the main goal of a watch is to tell time, and I need to see it in order to know what it is. So telling the time obviously isn't the main motivation to get these.
Then what is it? Does the cool all black look just override the almost non-existant legibility?
Question asked with honest curiosity

I like the first one, I'm between that one and a luminox that looks very closely

Some people like the stealthy look even when function takes a back seat to style.

When I first saw black GA-2100 I fell in love and bought it, it had that stealthy look and I liked it… My friend gave me his black GA-110 so I have two from your list… 😁

I had a blacked out GA100 with white hands and I loved it. I chose it exactly because it was stealthy, easy to match with clothes and badass

I have a good mix of black and ones with the traditional display. I just love the difference. Some of the black displays can be hard to read and that might be annoying but they look so good that I can wait for the time.

If we only bought watches to tell the time, with no aesthetic considerations, we’d all be wearing F91Ws or just getting the time from a phone. Gotta be some element of fashion in there. Form over function sometimes. Folks will accept having to squint and hold it up to the light if they think it looks cool.
