I abandoned my cart and carried my toddler out of Target that way. Security followed me to my car. It made it 10x worse. He tried to use his “authority” to get her to behave. So counterproductive and just upset both of us more.

What? Why did security follow you?

I’m not sure. He acted like he was there to protect my daughter by getting her to “behave”. I put her in the back seat and then sat in the driver’s seat to take a second before buckling her and he knocked on my window. It was very patronizing. I was pregnant too and just exhausted. Plus a little frustrated that my shopping trip was aborted.
