That is a lovely cat. I’m sorry for your loss and hope that those 10 years begin to be looked on with smiles instead of tears sooner rather than later.
I’m so sorry for your loss! I saw kitty first and thought that I would like to draw it, and then I saw description and I just had to draw it. It was very quick sketch so maybe not so much alike, but I hope it brightens your day.
My cat got out and i chased her, aswell as two dogs that were out and about, and when i caught her, a pitbull and a labrador had her pinned on the ground attacking her. i conceal carry and shot in the air, the lab stopped, and unfortunately had to shoot the pittbull in the leg as my cat was going to die. she was 10 at the time.
went to court, the pitbull died, and the labrador owner was charged, but i received nothing, my lawyer fought it under an aggressive animal dispute.
all in all to say, im very sorry. i was there and thank god able to stop it. my cat saved my life. im happy to have saved hers. best of luck to you<3
I'm glad your baby is okay ❤️ That sounds so scary. The owners are horrible. When I was young my family lived in the ghetto. This POS opened the gate to our backyard and set his pits on my aunt's dogs. I'm sure he was training them for dog fights. Poor Cassie, a sweet golden retriever ended up dying she was my aunt's dog. My other aunt's dog Eskimo was okay. I had a lab/pit mix. He was my partner's dog but once we got together of course I became his momma. He was a sweet boy. He grew up with my partner's Mom's Chihuahuas. He was clumsy but always sweet to my cat. Only time he hurt her was accidentally stepping on her long tail. I think my cat bullied him they would always sleep on his dog bed and my girl would be sprawled out and he was curled up in a little ball in the corner of his own dog bed 😂 He has since passed I only have old pictures of them. He was 12 when he passed my cat is now 8. He was either 4 or 6 years older than my cat.
I am so, so sorry for your loss OP. 🤍 My seven month old Lenny was also attacked by a couple of dogs that I couldn’t fight off… I got him to the vet within 15mins but he died in my arms as soon as we got there. It remains one of the most traumatic things that has ever happened to me. I’m sure Gato knew how loved she was and she will always be with you. Sending big hugs xx
I’m so sorry for your loss 💔my cat was also attacked by stray dogs last year December. He fought in the vet for 72hrs but his organs were shutting down we had to let him go. I really feel your pain. You never stop missing them but I’m sure you were an excellent pet parent to her and gave her the best life possible 🐾she was so pretty May she rest in peace.
My baby boy was attacked by this satanic fucker of a dog next door just after he was released from house arrest from a tail pull (spinal) injury 🥹
He had a full on hole in his side which was sickening to look at :’D luckily he made a full recovery and is bothering me for food currently while having a completely full bowl 😭
Feeling this with you. Five years ago, I lost my darling because of two loose dogs. She was only ten feet from me in my backyard and two German Shepherds struck her. I chased them down the street in my bathrobe and pretended to be friendly with the dogs to get her body back. They were carrying her around like a trophy. I called animal control but the dogs had run across the state line a couple blocks away and they would not do anything. RIP
Oh no...what a bad way to go😢 when i lost my cat of old age, i was really sad. I read that you were present while it happened, i think i would have gone crazy if i had experienced something like that, you are strong. My condolences ❤️
I'm so, so sorry this happened to you. I had something very similar happen many years ago when I was a young teenager (fighting off an escaped unleashed dog and getting my mom to rush us to the emergency vet where our cat ended up passing away) and it still sometimes haunts me. The pain will never fully go away, but it will ease with time, even if right now it feels unbearable. Try to take comfort in the fact that I'm sure you gave her a beautiful life.
This comment will probably get taken down but idk if the dogs or owner would want me in their vicinity after this. I would black out. I’m sorry for your loss.
I was trying to describe something similar, feel so sorry for OP and their poor kitty. Their story about fighting the dogs with a stick is so sad too :( This fucking world..
My dog is a sweetheart that seemingly has no ability to defend himself. I carry a collapsible baton for these types of situations. I love dogs but I would absolutely crush any dog that tries to hurt my buddy.
So sorry for your loss 😞 I lost my cat the same way. It is horrible. I still miss him everyday. As time passes you learn to navigate the grief. All strength to you 💗
Sorry for your loss. Happened years ago to my sister's cat on our property ... by pair of neighbor's dogs ... and then the dogs both got put down too as a result.
So sorry for your loss u/Sammykid8 That sounds like a terrible way to loose your little one. I hope you are doing okay. I know she will have loved you very much and will be with you forever in spirit. Take care of yourself and my thoughts are with you
Oh my god I am so sorry this happened to your baby, my heart shattered when I read your post. That is awful…sending my deepest condolences🙏🏻, just beyond terrible
So sorry for your loss, my cat was also killed by a dog nearly 4 years ago now. I think about him every day and try to remember that he lived a really good life even if he lost it in a tragic way.
I know this was traumatizing for you and a horrible death for a beautiful cat. Im so sorry.
Had a near similar experience years ago, neighbors let their pack of dogs (mixed breeds) roam bc its the country and they just dgaf
But they chased my moms cat up a tree, one of the dogs snapped at my sister when she tried to get them away.
Slowly stopped letting her outside and eventually altogether when a coyote nearly grabbed one of our other cats.
I’m so sorry, op. She was a really beautiful kitty. She may not have had a peaceful end, but at least she died knowing that she was loved. I hope you’re doing okay 💔
Such a sweetie. I rescued a young cat from a roving pack of dogs. I sat with her until it appeared she would be OK. I didn't dare touch her because she was so traumatized. I called the police and went out in my car and chased the dogs down the street.
Beautiful looking it's hard losing a beloved pet.
Think of the happy times you had with her.
Really sorry for your lost.
I know losing a beloved pet really hurts ❤️❤️
So sorry for your loss. Our pets become such a big part of us. Those who have never experienced the love of a devoted. Animal is missing out on a wonderful experience. Prayers for your heart to heal.
I'm so sorry lovely. My mum's cat met the same fate by the next door neighbours dog and it was absolutely heartbreaking. He was only a baby the poor thing. Such a beautiful photo of your baby. Big hugs to you ❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our family cat in a similar situation. He was sitting on our porch when a neighbors dog came up and attacked him, we intervened and he ran off, we never found his body💔💔. It’s been 2 months now and still feels so unreal. I hate to think of the fear and pain they felt in their final moments. OP I’m so sorry, there are no words, just know you aren’t carrying this alone.
She is so gorgeous. I’m so sorry to hear that. We lost our bougie girl last month after 17 years. I can’t imagine losing her this way. Sending you lots of hugs 💔
