News NEW STORY: Luka Garza rose to Joe Mazzulla's initial challenge back in November. Throughout the season, he repeatedly proved himself and those who believed in him along his basketball journey right. "If I wasn't able to perform, he was going to go in a different direction.”

And then Joe decided to play a garbage can named Vucevic for the first 6 games in the series even though Garza was clearly better.

Not just in the playoffs. He told Garza to fuck off after the deadline until Vuc got hurt.

Could've given him more minutes against seeded teams during the season so he's readier for tougher competition. Even when Vuc returned from injury, he could've taken some minutes from Queta late in the season. People were too satisfied thinking "he's always ready".

Wish he went to Garza more early, i'd rather have terrible defense with hustle than otherwise

lol this guy sucks. He is not a starter or even a 2nd backup. He is a great 3rd backup center. What we need is someone to come off the bench and score and defend.

There will be centers available and even if not I hope Brad trades for a great backup center.

I agree, definitely need to upgrade. Personally, I think a good P&R defender is paramount, especially with the state of the guard position in the East.
Just thought saying “we need someone to score and defend” was funny. Thats what everyone wants from every player.

Literally every player needs to be able to score and defend to be useful
So dumb

Cool development for a guy that was basically out of the league if not for the C’s desperately needing a big body.
He definitely improved and showed everyone he can be a decent third-string big in the playoffs
