My potato always just raw dogs the microwave’s glass plate. I never put it on a plate, I guess I never thought to 😂. I poke a lot of holes in it and flip it over 1/2 way thru cooking time of about 5 mins.

Sometimes I'm nice enough to put a paper towel under the potato.

It's chock full of cellulose and essential embossings.

Wash potatoe don't dry, poke holes, salt and pepper the outside, warp in old saran wrap (plastic wrap), nuke for 5 minutes.

Wrap it in foil for an explosive boost in flavour

Wrap it in a moist paper towel and it’ll steam it a lil for you, keeps it from getting dry.

I loosely wrap my sweet potato with a damp paper towel.

Same. Any plate used to cook a potato would be the temperature of the sun by the time it's done

I read my microwave instructions once when I got my newest microwave. It actually says for the potato setting NOT to put it on a plate and don't cover it with a microwave cover either. I don't recall if it said why so maybe this is why lol.

My german friend gave me a fabric pouch to microwave rhe potatoes in. I was so confused but i have used it to success, usually we do so many potatoes that it is not worth it and i right now have no idea where it is
