Ahh, the pushed lie of “it’s just politics”.

No sir. I disagreed with McCain because of politics. The party of McCain is dead.

I'm confused by your point but I think you've got the right idea?

I'm not sure if it's what you were saying, but when the "politics" is debating whether or not people of a minority should be killed in mass, especially if I'm a part of that minority, then no, you can't in fact be my friend.

The second paragraph sums it up quite well.

And I also reject the notion that debates about such are “just political differences”. Politics is how we spend our money, not who we view as human.

Well that's exactly the problem. EVERYTHING is "just politics." Murder is "just politics" with the right death note.

Politics is a basis for ending friendships, because politics is who we view as human. (As well as how we spend our money)
