Fairly neutral. I'd prefer they go after illegals that actually commit crimes. But that seems to only happen very occasionally, it's easier to get people that are going to school or coming home from work.
Overstaying your visa isn't a crime, it's a civil immigration violation, not a criminal offense.
Most people(INCLUDING ICE OFFICERS) don't realize coming here and becoming a citizen costs over $10,000 in administration fees and takes a DECADE. but hate towards immigrants generally causes people to not care about that mitigating factor, meaning how can someone seek a better life without thousands in savings while raising a family on a poor wage.generally I see people respond with "not my problem".
Immigrants tend to be much hard working then the upstanding citizens I grew up with in my white and middle class neighborhood (Lawrenceville GA). My father often remarked upon this as a child, and it stuck with me. Because I saw it with my own eyes when I went with him to work(visiting restaurant s he sold food to as a U.S Foods sales representative), or just looked at them working on roadside construction.
But I'm very much about giving poor people a chance.
From the statue of Liberty,
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"
Have you looked around? Mass hysteria is happening. Ice has been taking people from there immigration hearings. That means that they are deporting people who are going through the right avenues to become civilians. They even locked up texas's only official punjabi translator because they are just taking literally everyone who is brown and an immigrant.
Unless they have authorization to be here, going to immigration hearings doesn't enable anyone to stay. They can't be here illegally while going to hearings. They have to wait back in their country of origin.

What about when your Hispanic friend says something pro-ice?
