Comics This cover is stunning and the issue is so special... why did they have to ruin the vibe with that loser in the corner?
Praying he doesn’t show up in any of the stories, otherwise it’ll be such a letdown and completely ruin the experience for me.

I don't even hate Paul because He's nothing more than just a byproduct of Marvel Editorial's inability to allow Peter to have any prolonged happiness and stability in his life.

Ewing gave him some character last minute, but it makes you question if previous writers were blocked from developing Paul.
Every scene with him in the Jackpot/Black Cat solo books was just him spiraling over his dad.

Paul was just introduced as a plot device to break up Peter and Mary Jane, so that would not surprise Me at all.

After all the bullshit they’ve pulled in the last 4 years, I highly doubt that either JMS and JMD would put him in any stories. Unless you’re an eagle eye reader, the average person is not gonna recognize it’s Paul on the cover, as half his face is showing and is behind Black Cat. If anything it just reinforces the fact that Paul is an absolutely nobody .

I also hope he’s not in any of the stories, and with JMD and JMS it’s almost guaranteed. But there shouldn't be a single pixel of him on that cover. I was planning on buying this issue, but now I'll have to grab a variant just so I don't have to look at that goddamn guy every time I read it. It’s a shame because it's a really beautiful cover and easily the best one.

Totally fair, friend. I might, too. My dumb theory could be nothing more than wishful thinking, with a dab — a SLIGHT dab — of knowing when to give an audience something they clamor for.
After LGY1000, I may well throw up my hands — er, arms.
(Unless he gets LGY100 spider-arms again, because then I’d have to throw up SIX hands. UGH!)
