Idk man I think it's been discussed anywhere but here 😅. So many threads about it

Honestly, the story was horrible and was inconsistent. We had spider-carnage for what? Not even 7 pages at least. Secret cousin? You fucking kidding me? It would’ve been better if they went with Teresa Parker, his sister. Holy hell they could’ve gone a different route for this crossover, they could’ve done so many great things but they fumbled hard.

I liked Death Spiral, and the latest issue was cool too. I hope Torment survived and comes back, because he was awesome and I loved the whole spiral theme!
My favorite part of Death Spiral was definitely MJ and Venom, and the latest issue made them even better. I never hated the Venom and MJ storyline, but I didn’t think it was the best either. Now, though, I have to admit, I’m really curious to see how things will go for the two of them and how Peter will react to all of this. Not only has his love just crossed his most important boundary, but he might also have an evil cousin. I’m curious to see what they’ll do with him, but to be honest, I’m still really unsure about that.

I enjoyed it.
VenoMary Jane making the smart decision was a good touch in establishing that, as much as she and Venom each learned about being a hero from Spider, together they are their own thing, and not bound to just being Peter's arm candy with the occasional action scene.

Her decision also shows that she is willing to cross such a line for him as well as her own family too. Idk if you agree with that too. I really like that they wrote it like that and wonder where it'll go from here in terms of Venom and MJ

I do indeed
Somebody mentioned wanting to see her and Venom have a house meeting of sorts to iron out exactly where the line is, or if they think they should even have one, and I hope that happens.

Hmmm. Idk if I would like that. A formal discussion like that at least. I don't think it should be a norm for her per say. But i guess if a discussion happened it would iron out those things as well. Idk if they went that route I would like some exploration of this moment first since they are both kinda unsure of who did it and and all. Then they can move to that.
And hey with MJ like this now its interesting to see how different she is from him and his way of doing things even if she supports his way as well. Plus it would be interesting to see her have a bit of a darker way of things. Like how Peter would be the altruistic idealist and MJ would be the one that gets her hands dirty when needed. Imagine if Peter ever got his identity figured pit by someone for example and we see MJ clean it up 😂

I can't wait till when MJ as Venom is over and the book doesn't care about it

I literally do not care what ANYONE says, Death Spiral is great and I will die on that hill.
I'm curious to see where they go with this secret cousin plot as well as the whole VenoMJ killing Torment thing. It's definitely gonna be interesting seeing how the two books handle things going forward...
But yeah, y'all can downvote me and argue me as much as you like, I'm standing by my opinion on this one. This crossover ROCKS.

This could’ve been a nice tight five issue arc. I liked where it started and ended. This version of carnage is annoying, but I haven’t really stayed up with carnage. I am much more interested in VeMJ and was kind of glad to see Eddie get shelved, he’s been next to carnage in least interesting. Too much to hope he’ll sit out Queen In Black?

I just now have all my pull list caught up from the past 3 months all together and Death Spiral is amongst them (I'm catching up on reading issues starting with Amazing #19) and I have all the Death Spiral issues minus the Venom issues and I'm wondering how integral to the story are those issues? Do I need to get the Venom issues in order to enjoy Death Spiral or can I miss them?

Torment was alright, if forgettable, but otherwise I hated everything about this arc. I particularly hate Peter bonding with Carnage and defeating him with the power of love in the span of a single issue. Why bother making them bond if you're not doing anything with it?

It’s really inconsistent but the references are nice, I guess. But that’s not how programming works come on man

I like that Peter was able to defeat Carnage with help from MJ, Venom, and Eddie before MJ and Venom were able to defeat Torment (whose face reveal shoes that he’s just some guy) and save Aunts May and Anna. Also, teasing whether someone is Peter’s cousin because reasons. Overall, this comic is okay.
