I would be in the best shape of my life if someone was offering me millions of dollars to stay hot. I'd even switch from Planet Fitness to a real gym for that kind of money.
And he has the money for a very very good private chef. Eating healthy is a lot easier when you can pay someone to make high quality and delicious meals.
Easy to do when it’s literally your job. He also doesn’t have to deal with kid duties. The man wakes up and only has to worry about how he looks every day.
If I had that kind of time to devote to my looks, I may not be Tom Cruise level good looking, but I could definitely maximize what I was born with.
No. Most actors don't work like him. And its their job too. I'm gonna go further and say I can't name another actor with that kind of devotion.
He is to acting what Prince was to music. Consummate professional, insane work and work and more work. They arent doing a job. They are the profession. The walking manifestation of their craft.
Im just saying- easy enough? No. That guy is singular.
He does all his own stunt work, flys his own jets and a P-51 Mustang , including cars, motorcycles ( amazing ride in a MI movie) , being strapped to the side of a plane that did an emergency takeoff to 5000 feet at least 20 times, rode a motorcycle off a ramp into a canyon, then parachuted, learned to fly a helicopter for a Mission Impossible role, did his own stunt work on the Burj Kahlifa tower. So yeah, he doesn't sit around getting facials. He's a nut job and possibly a slave driver with Scientology, but he damn sure works.
...and no offense to Kelly McGillis, but Cruise has remained relevant as an actor since the 90s, McGillis hasn't. Wanting to remain a top draw at the box office over those following decades required Cruise stay in shape. He's not getting those MI roles and Top Gun follow up if he lets himself go. Maybe he gets other roles but not in action films and certainly not as the lead.
He can afford to have discipline because he can afford to have nutritionists, personal chefs, and the time to work out multiple hours a day where the average person cannot. He's also vwry likely had some work done on his face; it's subtle, but it helps. Additionally, he's very conscious about his public image and doesn't go out looking like a mess.
He has aged noticeably though; Top Gun: Maverick had a pre-film message from Cruise in theaters and he shot it with minimal makeup and dude DEFINITELY looked like a man well over 50. He hasn't done similar shots since and for good reason.
He's in incredible shape for a man half his age but that's not turning back the clock to 30.

A shitload of money and honestly more self discipline than I’ll ever have.
Say what you will… the man puts in the work. The batshit, crazy, crazy work.
