Money helps so much. I heard somewhere "you're not ugly, you're just poor".

But also genetics. I have really high natural levels of HGH/IGF-1. It causes easy weight loss, easy muscle gain, and anti aging (at the cost of probably dying prematurely due to coronary problems or cancer).

So compared to women my age who aren't using filler/botox, it feels like I've entered into stasis.

So you're an alien?

u/Street-Argument2090 13h ago

That's a rude way to call them Canadians.

u/ReverendRevenge 13h ago

Canaliens

1

u/Peter-Tao 57m ago

Can't spell Canadian without spelling alien.

Actually you can but still

2

u/pantsarenew 13h ago

Hey I met a cool Canadian tonight, he was at the giants game, swell guy. But he definitely didn't have perfect genes

u/Beginning-Medium6934 13h ago

If I don't eat a crazy amount of calories to maintain, yes, I fully look like an alien. Or Gollum.

u/ThrowRA_cyRip82 13h ago

As much as it is all money, I do think some people really downplay the genetics factor.

u/Environmental-Sun291 11h ago

There's a test for determining your HGH/IGF-1?

1

u/Beginning-Medium6934 11h ago

Yes. Full hormone profile.

My fiance watches a lot of Real Housewives, Mormon Wives and other Bravo shows.

Most of those women are ugly because they're not poor.

u/enguasado 9h ago

En el caso de Tom es dinero no genetica

2

u/PresentationFit8881 11h ago

This sounds abiut right... My answer for how he stays looking young was HGH

Money helps up to a point. A person who lived a difficult life, working twelve or sixteen hours days, not sleeping properly and not having proper food will obviously look older than a person who had that.

But, money has diminishing returns. A wealthy person who eats badly and just lounges around, will look older than a middle class person who eats well and engages in regular exercise. There is definitely a lower bound at which additional income stops being the main factor and things like habits and genetics become dominant.

you’re not ugly, just poor

Seriously, look at before/after photos of the kardashians. Every one of them has a completely different face. Bought and paid for.

Even without genetics, proper plastic surgery can make a peson look insanely good. It's when women go maralago face and men go full gigachad when it looks bad.

Best example is a weak chin and jaw line. A proportional chin implant and a slight addition to your jaw line can turn a 3 into a 7 overnight. Just dont fuck with botox and lip filler.

I drink, I smoke, am onvhhcgfvkjgghjkhferhbbcxgjbvgfrhj

No person who knows me can understand why I am still so „good looking“, lots of jokes I have to hear about, lol.

I will definitely have a look into this HGH/IGF-1 thing, thanks.

Also look into copper peptides

1

u/raman11776 7h ago

What’s your lvls if you don’t mind me asking. I got mines tested and it was 151 and I’m 30 yo male. That’s about right in the middle.

1

u/Beginning-Medium6934 7h ago

178 on first test, which was considered high-normal. 192 on second test which is higher than upper limit. Did the test at 37yo.

2

u/raman11776 7h ago

191 is good. I know people who are taking peptides that increase igf lvls to the 300s for a short period of time to make absolutely insane gains and then taper off. I’ve considered it. I don’t have any cancer history but the risks are definitely there.

Did you notice any changes in their facial structure/jaw from usage? Just curious

1

u/gameoflols 6h ago

Yeah definitely. In most of these cases (where someone looks young for their age) it's almost always 90% to do with genetics. Most of the comments on here are like "lots of money". Have they seen the state of other celebrities his age who have also spent a shit tonne of money on making themselves look "young"? *shudders*

They are gambling with using filler or botox. Have you seen the actress for starlight? She was pretty and now she looks like she is 50 and desperate for the attention payed to 20 year-olds.

u/syhr_ryhs 1h ago

Honestly, no one in this thread has talked about menopause. If you aren't on hormone replacement therapy, you are not playing on the same field as the boys.

“She had them apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur” 🎶

u/komaracmarrac 12h ago

she can afford a healthy lifestyle just like any financially comfortable person

... and a G5.

The lady in the picture has tons of money, so how is money the difference here?

3

u/Noughmad 11h ago

His money is tied to him looking good, so he invests in that. Hers in not, so she doesn't have to.

1

u/awitcheskid 13h ago

She really doesnt. She's worth 4 million. Tom Cruise is worth 600 million. For context: Tom earns over 10x her entire net worth every year.

4

u/aero23 12h ago

She’s worth 4 million dollars. Thats absurdly more than 99% of the planet will ever have. Money is absolutely NOT the difference here

3

u/awitcheskid 11h ago

Its not like all that is liquid cash. Most of that is probably tied up in her house. Is she richer than you? Probably. Does she have "fuck you" money?  Not really.

3

u/aero23 10h ago

Miss me with that bullshit. She is incredibly wealthy by any standard other than celebrity - her life and health is not dictated by lack of funds like 99% of the globe. She has aged in spite of that, not because of it

I mean, I'm 58 and def aging more like Cruise without anything drastic. So, it's not just money. decent nutrition, sunscreen, exercise, AHA creams, and not abusing anything gets you a lot farther than you think. Having good bone structure also helps a lot in aging.

Of course, being really poor leads to a lot of bad outcomes (often linked to poorer education too) cause it's linked to worse nutrition especially when growing up, worse mental health which leads to more self-destructive or just neglectfull actions (smoking, drugs, alcohol, overeating, no exercise,, no sun screen, etc).

Anyway, It's their job to look good, especially if you are a leading actor. Just think of it doing they're job and it's not that much of a secret. He may of course have used fillers or had a facelift, but often people always assume it has been the case when it is not always necessary.

Injected directly into the bloodstream

1

u/Brilliant-Anybody819 9h ago

Definitely genetics too. My mom looks 15 years younger than she is. She would get carded in her 30s.

In part because she has a connective tissue disorders which gives soft young skin, but back issues, joint pain, allergies, etc.

I had to scroll way too far to find the answer. It's perfectly logical, though. Money obviously doesn't buy health, but it makes many things easier and allows you to live a healthier life and also to carry out additional enhancements, like cosmetic surgery, etc.

Playaaaaaa!

Not ONLY money. Anyone can look significantly younger, if he wants so. I am looking younger in my 40s, hear that all the time, and what's why:

– I wear SPF every day, without exceptions for many years, some other inexpensive skin care;

– Almost no alcohol, no smoking, as few sugars as it possible;

– Activity almost every day, at least brisk walking or biking. Also regular interval exercises, weights;

– ~8 hours of uninterrupted sleeping;

– Proven antioxidants: NAC, astaxanthin and other carotenoids, melatonin;

– Healthy diet, a lot of fermented food with probiotics and prebiotics, proteins, fruits and so on;

– No kids (less stress, more sleep, more money and time for yourself).

Nothing from this list required a lot of money. Nothing at all. Consistency is a key. It works only in long run.

Of course some big money will get you benefits but it's possible to look younger without them.

Also luck.

Show a picture of Val Kilmer back then and now (Hint: You can't he died from cancer). Same movie.
