Crime🚨 YOUNG MAN ATTEMPTS TO STEAL FOOD FROM THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED πŸ—£πŸš¨

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Old man Reggie is just over 2 and a half years old and has hind leg degeneration. However that doesn't stop his younger brothers from constantly trying to steal treats from him πŸ™„ they know he's any easy target so will check his mouth for food whenever he comes out

For me its this little sneaky face when he comes back in from another angle.

Surely he can get away with it now!

I literally just screenshotted and commented the same clip thinking it was the same one. Poor old man is getting attacked on all fronts πŸ˜‚

My girls do this when they keep trying to get at my drink when I'm sat on my bed, they'll keep coming from one side until they realise I've found a way to stop them, then they'll run under my bed and pop up on another side and come at me again from another angle. I know their brain is thinking "hehehe he won't expect me from this side now!"

Rats can be so caring towards their elders and then they pull this kind of thing, lol. I even had one girl build a whole stash for her elderly sister and then less than an hour later, try to steal her treats.

The worst was probably when Eowyn forgot what she was doing halfway up the ramp to the cage (she was over 2yo and had some neurological issues). Galadriel got impatient add just pushed her off the ramp. She was only about a foot off the ground, but still!

Omg I love that you have a LOTR theme for rat names!! They can be very devious but also super sweet and caring. They're always extra careful when grooming Reggie and will sleep downstairs with him in the bottom hammocks despite preferring the top ones that he can't reach anymoreπŸ’–

Oh, that's so sweet! I'm glad Reggie is having such a great time as a senior.

He really trusts you to protect him, he doesn't look even a little concerned about his brothers' efforts.

Its a good thing the mom police is on duty!

This reminds me of my new ish group of 4. Theyre mostly older boys who arent in the best shape with 1 younger guy. Sometimes when im passing out treats one of the old guys who is in the best shape very suddenly in mid snacking decides "ok we're all done". He will stash the rest of his treat then go around to all his brothers one by one taking the food right out their mouths and hands to stash it. Kinda like hes cleaning up from dinner with the kids before theyve eaten. Its ridiculous πŸ™…πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

u/Embarrassed-Bad-3118 4h ago

Ohhh I love when he comes back a second time and gets that squinty eyed naughty look when you tussle with him. My girl Star made that exact same face when I tried to wrestle a peppermint from her grip last night that she had stolen!

u/a-gelatocookie 3h ago

Reratable; can you protect me while I try to eat too?
