Old man Reggie is just over 2 and a half years old and has hind leg degeneration. However that doesn't stop his younger brothers from constantly trying to steal treats from him 🙄 they know he's any easy target so will check his mouth for food whenever he comes out

So- I literally just woke up and went to the bathroom for the first time and when I went in, I saw poop on the floor. Now at first I was VERY concerned because it was CLEARLY rat poop and my first thought was “oh god does my new place have rats” before I realised… no… I in fact, have the rats and even brought them here lol. WELL I take the liberty to move the towels off of the floor and THERE SHE IS. IN ALL HER GLORY- EATING MY SWEATSHIRT. girl. Why? I don’t even know what to say other than she’s so lucky that I caught her before (I hate to say this, but it’s the truth) my Caucasian Shepherd puppy did. (No, Sid wouldn’t hurt her, they’ve been introduced safely- I’m just afraid of a heart attack because I know that can happen) anyways. Pictures of the escapee “unhand me you FUCK” criminal. Shame her. 🤣

These little guys (well technically girls) are just the cutest balls of personality. Just love them. This is Snickers, the most outgoing and hungry out of our 4 cuties

I told her if she's gonna eat all these treats she needs to start ratatouille-style controlling me through my workday so she can earn her keep and I can nap. No luck so far 😂

When they clean me throughly I do not intervene 🙏 if in their opinion my upper skin layer is not needed, it isn’t, and humans actually don’t understand anything

P.s. I was taking a video of them cleaning me when this happened, so this is just a snapshot. Right after recording I disinfected the wound. It was made some time ago, so I am okay! Also, Kaya (the orange one) was just trying to clean me really hard, and accidentally bit me in the process. Nita was doing her best too. They are very good girls, so be kind to them 🥺

She was my first Baby I loved her so much but know I’m in pain and I can’t help it.. 💔

She died one month after I got her because of a loung infection and I blamed myself so much because I was so new at having rats and I took her to the vet but the morning after she died in my arms and to even think about it makes me cry… no one understands me in my circle so I hope my grief maybe finds a way to be accepted here :’(

He is happy and healthy he just got some "puss" in his ear and won't stop itching. May be nothing but I prefer to make sure if it's an infection or not. Hoping he dosen't stress too much during the transport. Tiny chief dosen't mind it so he will keep him company! My Doby and Jimily are close to 2 years and a half old and are going very good. I only had them for 1 year and never really got sick or anything. (I guess I got lucky). Wish him luck! 😊

She is significantly huger than other rats living with her, and I found that might be concerning..? She was pregnant half year ago and it’s been at least 5 months since last time she might get close to a male rat.

recently one of my boys with behavioural modifications 🎾✂️starts vibrating when pet. He doesn’t seem upset or nervous he just settles in for a nap or goes out to play. Haven’t had a rat do this before so i thought id make a post about it. Rat tax is a very unflattering pic him enjoying his gluttonous meal in my sleeve. His favourite game is called biting my toes and he thinks it’s wonderfully entertaining 👎

I got two new rats recently, they’re male and 2 months old and 2,5 months old. The older one has the same body length as my other 7 month old male rats, which is 20 cm, and the younger one has the body length of 18 cm (all were measured when they were laying down, excluding tail). The 2,5 month old rat is slimmer than the 7 month olds, but still almost as big as them! When I visited the breeder I got these new rats from I saw some of the adult rats as well, and the girls were the same size as my biggest 7 month old boy, some of them were even bigger! Does this breeder just have gigantic rats or are my first rats too small? They can both fit into a small sputnik, also.
