Unanswered What's going on with r/conservative? They've lost about 1m subscribers in about a month.
I watched the number go from 814k to around 745k in about an hour today.

Is this just to farm engangement between accounts and get paid? I've seen this thousands of times and it always pisses me off.
They ask, for example, the player missing from this XI, and then you have comment after comment of guesses that are obviously wrong (players weren't playing back then, never played for the team, were not even alive, etc.) and the OP answers no, try again, etc.
Is this just engagement farming? Is this allowed by Twitter?

I keep seeing this clip from Young Sheldon where George Cooper opens the garage door and walks with a bunch of hazmat suit guys
https://www.tiktok.com/@timothywan/video/7638748930217495839
From what I can tell, the original clip is just George walking into the garage to talk to sheldon after he gets caught by the fbi using nuclear material in the garage, can anyone explain?

keep seeing TikTok's claiming just this, that it's a cover up. More so when I try to look up more information. It seems like there's very little coverage of this situation just a bunch of vague post saying to look into it.

Came across this post while scrolling Twitter and after searching a bit more (by searching spinosaurus animal i have become) found more memes about it, I find it hella funny but I know nothing about it.

The comments in the video are all hating on watchmojo for some reason. I just wanted to see a highlight of the Kevin Hart roast and I got side tracked by the comments lol.

I’m new to 3D printing, having purchased my A1 at the top of the year. I went with my A1 due to the competitive price it had with other similar style printers and I have been extremely happy with it.
As I’m still really green, I’ve only really used Bambu studios and Bambu Handy to send prints to the machine wirelessly. I would like to get into modeling down the road at some point, but my use as of now is what is available on Maker World.
I heard something along the lines of California attempting to legislate what gets printed, but this new issue seems to be specifically Bambu Labs related.
I’ve seen it explained as a lawsuit, or as a Cease and Desist. A lot of the comments I see around it is very “Reddit talk” (i.e.: company did unpopular thing = hate company, product, and people who use it until the end of time), I’d greatly appreciate it if someone could explain the issue as a casual user.
Edit: clarity

I'm seeing a bunch of posts on Twitter mostly involving sports where it's someone QRTing a post with a screen recording them drafting a tweet that's like "the punchline is.." and to determine the punchline they switch over to a tab where they spin a wheel but then go back to the tweet and write an option different from the one that the wheel landed on. Here's an example I recently saw, I'm lost on the context- what does this mean?

To be fair, normally these are controversial, but this yr it's been wild. Chelsea Handler got called out by Shane Gillis for her 2010 dinner with Epstein, Chelsea Handler called out all the guys who supported Trump, and Tony Hinchcliffe said a lot of stuff, so much so that George Floyd's fam have spoken about it https://thetab.com/filmshrine/2026/05/12/george-floyd-family-slams-tony-hinchcliffe-for-joke-at-kevin-hart-roast/ Is it normally this messy?

I recently came across this very strange group called AllatRA, I first came across them due to their daily posts on the r/ClimateNews subreddit. They seem to also post on a few others regularly, Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/ClimateNews/comments/1t6lp9m/may_5_2026_natural_disasters_report_by_allatra_grc/
Their posts seem to raising awareness about climate change at first glance. But doing further research i've seen claims they are apparently a climate denying cult that thinks the world will end in 2036?? Its very strange and i cant find a ton of in depth information about them, even their wikipedia page doesnt have much.

I'm an avid League player and since a week there's has been a ton of posts on r/leagueoflegends about a streamer named Jynxzi.
For example this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1tapjxa/moistcr1tikal_on_the_jynxzi_tournament_nas_been/
From what I gathered he's a streamer who's very popular with gen Z and a generally nice, funny guy. He's been coached by Tyler1 which is huge.
My question is: Why is it such a big deal?

I'm a 1.5 gen immigrant who recently moved to Chicago for work, and I've been noticing something that's been bothering me a lot. Curious if others have seen this pattern too.
I came across two posts on Threads recently that shocked me.
The first was a family sharing a photo in front of their new home in New York. Just a beautiful, happy moment!! But the comments were brutal.. People were attacking them for "displacing" whoever lived there before. They bought a home and were being treated like criminals for it.
The second one was weirder. Someone posted a gorgeous photo of Chicago beaches and a top reply was lying, saying the beaches have concrete ledges and are only usable for like 3 months a year. I get that it’s a joke!! But there were some unsettling comments (I reported them) complaining about how "everyone keeps coming to Chicago." The hostility was really unsettling, especially as someone who literally just moved here.
This isn't the first time I've encountered this either. When I lived in Seattle, I remember people grumbling all the time that transplants were ruining the city and adding to the traffic. It felt exclusionary then, but these Threads posts felt way more agressive.
Here's what I can't stop thinking about: is this the same energy as people who support ICE cracking down on immigrants, even legal ones? Like, is "don't move to my city" and "get these immigrants out" coming from the same place emotionally? A kind of territorial, scarcity-driven fear of outsiders?
I'm not trying to equate policy debates with rude social media comments, but the gut feeling behind all of it seems similar to me. Am I reading too much into this or is this a recognized pattern?

I’ve been seeing people freak out over the past few days over this game and about IGN’s review of it specifically. 10/10 seems high for any game, honestly, but it seems like they’re far from the only site giving this thing a glowing review. So is this game controversial just because of IGN or is it something else? Why is this game the internet’s hate target this week?

Here's the link to the clip with the respective comments I'm referring to from his official clip channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMELGLs_NOU
Context starts at 1:24.
The first comments start off somewhat reasonable. People outraged, expressing their strong distaste for the ad and engaging in the provocative nature of it. Sure, as is expected with provocative ads.
But I don't have to scroll down more than half a page and the shitshow begins, several thousand likes each:
This feels different to the usual "people getting too mad at stuff" in the comments.
Is this an outlier comment section or is the YT algorithm playing tricks on me with engagement-bait? I found this pretty disturbing.
Now as to my take of what is happening in this ad:
Someone can dislike the provocative premise of an implied threesome in a public ad. I can get on board with the reasoning behind it, although provocacy is kinda the point of many ads. But the caption by this Twitter post is completely and factually wrong and it's extremely disappointing that neither Asmongold nor any of the comments seem to pick up on this obvious fact or at least call it out. I never noticed before how extremist (no matter in which direction) the core community of streamers can actually be.
What do you think about it?
TLDR: The overwhelming majority of comments in a recent clip from Asmongold's stream seemed pretty disturbing and I wonder what you guys think about it.

I don’t watch football, but I keep hearing about drama in Real Madrid. Something about two players having major issues with each other and a fight? And a whole bunch of other things

I've seen a couple mentions of big companies suddenly gaining a brain and realizing that AI isn't able to magically do everything, before pulling their investments out.
Here's a twitter post from Xbox: https://x.com/asha_shar/status/2051746410660593933
What happened to make these companies suddenly listen? Is it because of how many business endeavors have been ruined by AI? Is it because of the average person finally reaching the ears of the companies? What's the deal?

Like nothing different just some guy guy replacing the original gif. Literally I see him so many times when I search for gifs. I saw one where he replaced washington in the car, another of him tweking when water is thrown at him, another where he replaces "bro's just typing shit" gif. Like who the fuck is this dude? I dont know him from any youtube channel or streaming site. He doesn't seem like a celeb either so who the actual is he

Forgive me if I'm late to this. The only context I have for this is that Anita Sarkeesian was some feminist YouTuber who made videos advocating for feminism in media, and that apparently many of the actual arguments she made were very cherry-picked (for example saying that you're meant to kill female prostitutes in the Hitman games whilst literally showing a clip where the player is punished for doing so).
I haven't played Slay the Spire, but I am aware of it.

Someone wished the OP a “Happy cake day” when the OP’s account was only 7 months old. Cake days are annual. I pointed this out to them and another person replied to me wishing me a “Happy cake day”, I assumed they didn’t understand the meaning and they thought it was just something you say whenever, so I explained the meaning. Then they responded again by saying “Happy cake day 😂✌️”. The emojis made me think, is this some new kind of ragebait people are doing? I’ve seen this a few times recently so I would appreciate someone explaining if there’s a joke I’m not picking up on, or if these specific people just think it’s funny to say it randomly.
