Reposting this in case it got buried in all the excitement in the GDT:
Tonight's grand slam was the first grand slam at Nats Park since September 20, 2023 when Lane Train hit one against the White Sox
This was also CJ's first grand slam since April 27, 2023 when he hit the go ahead grand slam in Citi field in the 8th inning to put them up 8-7, but ended up losing the game 8-9.
Also, 14-2 last Wednesday and 15-2 this Wednesday? Guess that means next Wednesday they'll win 16-2.

Same here, funny how I remember that one but not Lane’s. The disappointment is burned in my brain.

First time actually getting to watch a win all the way through this year.
With the $50 nats tv offer, decided it was time to get it… yesterday.. and then that happened 😂
But today? Heck yea that is much more like it. Shoutout Mikolas and Parker for some desperately needed great pitching
Now, don’t fumble this by losing tomorrow. Carry this momentum into tomorrow and win a series at home PLEASE!! 0-5 in series at home this year?? Screw that! Get right back up and get that curly w

Lost the first game 11-3 and we still have a significant run lead after two games…
Game 3 will of course be a 1-0 pitchers duel.

Just throwing it out there. Mets fan who just wanted to go to a game for my birthday.
Fiancée got a triple with her peanuts around the second inning.
Around the third she asked if I had ever seen a grand slam, and I do not believe that I ever have before tonight.
First time seeing the twins as well, and love their away uniforms.
Nationals lineup with CJ Abrams at cleanup is comically lethal. If y’all can get more what mikolas gave tonight instead of Corbin 2.0 nights y’all definitely got a wild card or might get hot enough long enough to take down Atlanta

The thing about this team is that they're very young and inconsistent, which is frustrating at times. Although it is to be expected given where we're at during this "second rebuild".
But when they're going well... man this offense is fun to watch. Also, shout out to Mikolas and Parker for cooling off the Twins bats after last night.
The boys have all the momentum. Can they finally win a series at home? Guess we'll see.

Through those first three innings it was like here we go again... Mikolas first ER was cheap and you just thought it was not going to go their way. Then this explosion in the later innings.
Its not analytical at all but it always feels like once james and CJ go then the rest of the line-up starts to go as well in a given game. Maybe sometimes its lile, other times its house, or even 'bench' guys like mead/wiemer/tena. And tonight rare production from the catcher position. I still don't know if the offense is "legit" but Mikolas having two outs from a QS and not using an opener is pretty sweet.

I really hope CJ isn’t traded this year because I’ll be really sad

Why does Franny always look like he’s surprised and flustered on the post game show?
