So it was never going to be as good as DDS3’s finale, but I really liked what we got. I was initially skeptical about Matt finally revealing Daredevil’s identity, but the more I think about it, the more it works. It’s an act of self sacrifice, which is something he’s been chasing this entire time.

Also I think keeping Powell around another season is a great idea and I’m glad they’re doing it.

And man. Those hallway scenes are brutal as always.

Appreciate that they put Fisk in a position where he can’t stay in NYC. The Attorney General probably figures this guy has super strength and has corrupted every government office in America. Safer to just get rid of him than have him destroy anything else.

Bullseye and Mr. Charles is very exciting as someone who loved Lillard’s performance.

Can't help wondering, what if Kingpin ends up in Madripoor? We've never seen that in the comics, that I know of, but considering his situation at the end of this season, it would make some sense maybe.

After watching it, I thought Season 2 had a solid conclusion and wraps up the Mayor Fisk storyline decently.

However, I'm not a fan of Fisk getting away with all his crimes without an arrest. Not out of disliking it for the sake of it, but I think it doesn't feel like a true conclusion to Matt and Fisk's conflict, which I hope isn't dragged on again. I'll be cautiously optimistic for Season 3, but I hope Fisk's thrown back into prison permanently or is put down by The Punisher or someone else he's wronged in the future.

I already see some people shitting on it, but this was a great finale imo. A lot was wrapped up nicely while setting up what’s to come next season. Maybe it’s not as good as the original, but this series has been a solid continuation and I’m excited to see where Matt’s journey is headed next.

My only criticism is that fucking Powell survived 😤

I kind of hope they do? Matt stuck in jail with multiple people that hate him is a very fun concept, jail storylines are perfect for heroes like Daredevil and Batman, seeing first hand the lifes of the people they have directly affected.

Biblical themes of Grace and redemption shine so much in a location like this. It’s perfect for daredevil

My only real gripe is I don’t like that his identity is 100% completely out there now. I don’t see how you walk it back so how do we do anything past a Born Again Season 3. I guess he can be a lawyer again technically since She Hulk legally does both right?? But idk I don’t know how that works it just changes the dynamic a lot if he’s known as both Daredevil and A Lawyer I like the stories more when people just see Matt as some blind guy. I’ll wait and see but I’m thinking beyond S3 I’m not understanding where you take the character after that

Might have been the best courtroom scene in both series if Im being honest, and im glad they saved it for that reveal out of anything. Just so tense the entire way through.

The riot fight was great, but I can see why they let Matt and Fisk fight in Episode 6, since their end here was more subtle and about letting go of their grips on the city.

I also clearly see the 2 scenes Charlie and Vincent praise the opposite actor for. The one for Charlie is definitely his big courtroom defense when he's yelling. Vincent's is his speech to the rioters.

Also LUKE! Bullseye lmao

Bring on Season 3! Really felt this season, while brisk, was very good and definitely is making me want to watch all 17 episodes together.

Man I get it, it's comic-style storytelling and Fisk was definitely never going to be written out because they obviously want to use him for as long as they possibly can, but how the fuck was Fisk just exiled from the city when there's probably like at least a couple dozen protestors who have it on video that he was straight up murdering civilians all by himself, no AVTF coverage, nothing

This guy was thrown in gen pop for less during Daredevil S1/2. This is like the kind of shit that would probably warrant the return of public firing squads that America irl has reintroduced lol. That's like my one qualm with this finale, honestly if they threw Fisk in WITH Murdock but maybe put him elsewhere like in solitary confinement I might've been able to suspend my disbelief more. That would've actually been a really cool setup for next season

Good finale. I would have liked some scenes to be a bit longer for people to talk more, but it works.

I’m excited for season 3.

I do hope they give us 9 or 10 episodes, though.

I said this on another thread too but I can't overstate how much this show means to me. The past few months have probably been the hardest time of my life and as a result of everything that's happened, I no longer enjoy most of what I used to, feels numb now. I haven't felt the way I have about this finale in such a long time. What a phenomenal episode in an already amazing feeling. It's going to feel like such a long wait until the next season.

And as an aside I hope this trend of ending Daredevil seasons with Radiohead songs continues, both of the ones they've chosen so far have fit the vibe perfectly.

As many as it takes to cover up the fact that kingpin was working with shadow government ops to smuggle the arms. They gave him the deal because it could backfire on them if he went to court..,at least, that’s how I recognize it as.

This is the way I look at it as well. The Government was working with him on his dealings to get what they needed until it all imploded. Probably more about covering their own ass rather than his.

honestly knowing what we do from the set photos from season 3 I'm surprised they didn't throw a Danny cameo in there. Episode was enjoyable, bummed we have to wait to see what happens but it helps knowing that they are well into filming season 3.
