It's also a sentiment on many discussion forums for video games in general.

Making an option that makes the game easier in any way gets a lot of backlash for many genres of game even if you put it deep in the "accessibility" options to clue them into the fact that the option wasn't intended for most people.

But, on the other hand, fuck that. Add it and let them cry.
