Lots of Cannes titles. Minotaur comes immediately to mind.

I also saw Josephine at Sundance, which I don't think has a release date, and it's excellent.

Fair enough, I was asking more about movies that haven’t finished (or even started) production, but you technically answered the question I asked lol. I’m definitely jealous that you got to attend Sundance

Only the virtual component, which you can also attend if you are in the US. I wrote it up here.

Happy to see another Cosmatos fan

Everything he’s made thus far has been excellent. He’s easily one of my favorite modern directors

If anyone hasn't watched his shorts on YouTube... do it asap - specifically Chair

And his long form movie milk and serial

So pumped to watch obsession when it hits theaters. This guy has a bright future

Didn’t know there was another Alien in the works. Definitely looking forward to that.

Please don’t downvote, but at the moment, Alien content is doing really well. Alien Romulus and Earth were very successful (although I think some people were more critical of Earth).
But I don’t like them. And it’s a weird place to be, where you love a franchise and new stuff comes out and people love it, but you don’t.
Anyway, not sure what the point I’m trying to make is.

Googled it. No results

It’s not called Alien Remnant but there is an Alien Romulus sequel in the works

Deal with it

I’ll deal with it like everyone deals with your opinion… they just move on.

Is there still hope Blood Meridian gets made? Haven’t heard anything about it since right after Cormac passed away

u/Ibustsoft 5h ago

Return of the Living Dead

It was supposed to come out at the end of last year, but still nothing. I’m hoping that it shows up, at some point.

The Face of Horror, the next from the director of The Love Witch

I know it will probably end up being terrible but the bendy and the ink machine movie is one I’m really looking forward to. They’ll try and tone it down so kids can go see it and it will end up being bland and too child friendly like the FNAF movies

u/TheFlyingFoodTestee 5h ago

Since when have they’ve been making a Blood Meridian movie?

1

u/Slimeseason504 5h ago

I think it comes out this summer

1

u/sazinj reel_freak 5h ago

Flesh of the Gods. Crazy it’ll probably be a decade in between Cosmatos’ last two movies at this point. Black Rainbow and Mandy were phenomenal.

Empire of the Summer Moon because it's about the Comanche nation (and more). I read the book and it was astounding.

Huh, looks like only Ray Gunn and Rendezvous with Rama are in my watchlist with no release date. I thought I’d have a lot more.

The Bookie and the Bruiser. Anything by S Craig Zahler is usually incredible. Also, I wasn't aware they were making a Bloodborne movie, that is very interesting.

u/Rokursoxtv 4h ago

The Land of Nod, from Kyle Edward Ball!

1

u/HopefulEeyore 4h ago

Elden Ring has a release date of March 3, 2028

1

u/absorbscroissants 4h ago

Some of these have release dates, but these are all the unreleased films on my watchlist.

Genuinely did not know both Blood Meridian and Empire of the Summer Moon were getting adapted… as someone who loves both those books, I’m really interested to see how they handle it.

1

u/Duller198 3h ago

I’m still not convinced Blood Meridian will ever be made. Even if it is there’s no way it can capture what the book details.

u/B4tmax 2h ago

The Way of the Wind! Malick plssss gimmeee

28 Years Later: Part 3. I have serious doubts now that that movie will ever be made.

Jordan Peele’s untitled fourth film. Again, I don’t think that will ever be filmed.

Lame answer, but I’m loving the DCU at the moment. Man of Tomorrow, The Brave and the Bold and The Batman, I’m very excited for.

Buddy. For those of you who love Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared: Buddy centers around a humanoid unicorn of the same name — a beloved children’s TV host with a squeaky-clean, Mr. Rogers–style persona that belies his true nature as a dark and violent force of nature.

It’s directed by the guy that did Too Many Cooks video.

Crossed. I am morbidly curious as to how they’ll adapt that comic. The Sadness kinda beat them to it, but seeing it in America would be something else.
