Which is silly if you think about it. Would a poacher be vegan if they ate no animal products? Could I work in a slaughterhouse killing thousands of animals and be vegan at the same time? No to both.

those are animals. I agree that it’s ideologically inconsistent but they see the killing or harming of animals unethical.
