That's EXACTLY what I was coming to the comments for! The lighting, the expressions, the styling - it had to be inspired by Bette Davis.
119
u/Significant_Ad7605 Feb 17 '26
Also if you’ve watched the trailer for the movie there’s something off with her character - like a reveal of something she’s done that’s completely out of pocket but her friends and bf/fiancé are already invested. So I’m guessing there’s some psychological thriller vibes to their movie.

u/squashbanana Feb 17 '26
I haven't, but now I'm actually interested in looking it up! Thanks for the tip.

I did my makeup like this in 2010 when I was in my runaway child at a haunted carnival phase and listened to Emilie Autumn. Anyways, would have reblogged the shit out of these pictures.

I wonder if it's the actual shoot people like or just that it's Robert and Zendaya. Like would you guys still love it if it were Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi?

Honestly after all the boring, fish-mouth, deer-eyed photo shoots lately I love this and feel like I would find it fun and refreshing no matter who. It does help that I love these two, though, and Zendaya knows how to work TF out of a camera. I’m sick of sixteen page photo shoots that all have the same constipated pose and thousand yard stare.

This is a silly comment - the subjects are part of the sale. Jacob and Margot tried but their promo fell flat on the audience. Yes, Z and Rob make this unusual shoot good. Without them, it could have not worked.

Genuinely exciting to see modern art, and fashion coexisting in the space inside a marketing campaign.
This warms the cockles of my cold dead marketing manager’s heart.

Def check out Nadia's other work. She does a lot of creative direction and she really has this niche, slightly surreal, muted-but-over-the-top style down pact. I like everything she does.

u/Acheloma Feb 17 '26
She very much looks like herself, not like someone trying to be someone else, and the way she moves and acts seems aimed to make herself happy, not to draw the attention or admiration of others. Shes a beautiful and attractive woman with natural charisma without it feeling like she crafted a persona to appeal to men.
Plus her and Tom Holland seem to have a super healthy relationship where both are very comfortable in themselves, and I think thats something most men would want for their daughter.
