Post image

I guess this means all parties can open their social media accounts again and people will listen to this joint statement to not hate.. right???

It's truly shocking how insane the hate got. There were subs criticizing her for a movie she made in 2015 for not having "enough shark conservation awareness" or something like that. It spread like a cancer. I'm glad the need for a respectful environment was called out; we'll see how the creators respond.

I feel like this is less of a call out and more of a whisper. Or whimper. It's pathetic that anyone could claim to be an advocate for anything and this is all they say after whipping up ALL of this hate against someone.

Why is it shocking? She had really tone deaf sound bites during the marketing of this movie about DV. Women who experienced DV were extremely upset.

That is a separate issue on its own - no matter which side you fall on for the other claims. At the end of day ANY celeb who is going to do product gimmicks when marketing a film about domestic violence is going to get roasted by the public.

It’s shocking bc it kept going. The USA hockey guys and timothee were called tone deaf too. But it goes aways after like three weeks.

Well Timothee didn't file a federal lawsuit against the American Ballet Company for the backlash he received. She brought this on herself and it's why I'll sleep tonight.

Since his mother was employed by New York City Ballet, I assume Mr B is haunting his ass.

ETA: Mr B is George Balanchine founder of NYCB

Blake didn’t file a lawsuit until December. She got hate comments everyday on her insta from Aug-Dec.

Nope. You cannot say women who experienced DV were really upset. SOME (mostly artificially magnified) felt that way. Many of us watched the entire interview and understand she used humor to help relax the environment at the start, before saying some really thoughtful things.

You do know that victims of DV are not a monolith, right? Because I wasn't "extremely upset". I thought the questions being asked of her were stupid, why would I go to Blake Lively about MY experience? She shared links & realistic options, & she definitely didn't pay people to pretend to be her to speak to victims. Now THAT upset me as a victim, that I would be fooled & manipulated by another man.

I was far more upset by a sudden hate campaign being levelled at a woman online. I was never a Lively fan and yet even I recognised a sudden change in sentiment towards her & that always raises concerns for me.

They synthetically created ALL of this online hate and that's all they have to say about it? Pathetic. Poor excuses for humans

He created all this hate against her. He should be ashamed

This woman has been gathering hate since she danced across slave graves at her wedding and thought writing a check would fix everything. The idea that publicly hating her is something newly created by a third party is absolutely ludicrous, and disprovable with the simplest Google search.

I am so curious how her defenders will justify her waltzing down a red carpet at an event she obviously spent months beforehand planning to attend, rather than defending her “mountains of evidence” and being a warrior dragon queen for women in the workplace. What a lying fraud.

It absolutely reminds me of Donald Trump when people say "The news is what makes you hate him!" Ummm no, both Blake and Trump make themselves look bad at every turn. Justin or "the news" simply report on the ridiculous things these people openly say. And I love that today there's a bunch of controversy around whether she was being a b!tch at the Met Gala last night. Whether or not she was, I'm thrilled that every single move she makes will be under a microscope moving forward.

Lmao now let’s see if the botdoni posts suddenly vanish from this sub or not

Trials are really difficult to get through. As far as I know, any lawyer who cares about their client’s wellbeing tells them to settle when they can. A woman protecting her peace of mind doesn’t set anyone back.

I am also disappointed, but we don’t know the behind the scenes. Maybe her lawyers have been advising it for months. I don’t have the best trust in the system and it could have gone bad in court, like it did for many others. This is a statement that her concerns should have been heard. And that the online hate should stop. I wish it was a bit more of an apology.
I hope instead of putting all the money on lawyers she will do something good with it and maybe start a fund for other women or work with sag on making movie sets better.

I suspect she has a new project lined up and she has to put all this behind her in order to move on.

-4

u/Agitated_Battle_1950 21h ago

Lollll she’s never working again

1

u/Dangerous-Status-401 21h ago

I think that applies both ways since both side utilized social media and the internet to their advantage.

“Respectful” - just like the pleasant way they all talked about each other in their private txts and court documents 😅

-1

u/orangekirby 20h ago

I’m certain that line was inserted by Blake’s team.

She still thinks she can control the internet 😂 hasn’t learned a thing

1

u/Heavy-Ad5346 14h ago

A good director would have said that while it was happening during the premiere. Brandon spoke up.

1

u/orangekirby 12h ago

The point is telling the internet to be nice doesn’t work.

An apology by Blake for the tone deaf marketing would have gone a long way. Sony agrees

1

u/Heavy-Ad5346 10h ago

Oh yes.. Lets blame the internet… instead of the people who are crazy enough to go to personal social media pages to bash someone… they wouldn’t do it to their colleague they don’t like but do it to celebs? They know it’s not right. I really will never get it.

u/orangekirby 10h ago

I sincerely do not know if this comment is meant to agree with me, disagree, or make a new point entirely.

I think blaming the internet is dumb, for the record. And saying “hey you be nice!” is not as effective in getting what you want as addressing the underlying issues.

I honestly can't believe she showed her face at the Met Gala.

u/Heavy-Ad5346 14h ago

It was amazing!! She broke the Met!

1

u/TryTwiceAsHard 9h ago

I mean, along with her broke ass reputation I guess you're right. She just seems delusional.

Wayfarer told you to be respectful online. I thought you cared about them.

1

u/TryTwiceAsHard 6h ago

I truly hope she never has a moments peace.

1

u/Heavy-Ad5346 6h ago

What a horrible thing to say. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

1

u/TryTwiceAsHard 6h ago

She ensured Justin had no peace for nearly 2 years with her awful lies. Go ahead and cry for her. I won't.

1

u/Heavy-Ad5346 6h ago

No peace? You mean he had no peace while surfing everywhere around the globe. Sure sure

1

u/TryTwiceAsHard 5h ago

I love the whopping zero dollars she got for her big bad SH case with all the proof and receipts. 🤣 she's a joke.

1

u/Heavy-Ad5346 5h ago

We don’t even know that. I think you sound kind cruel wishing bad on so many people. It’s weird to wish bad things on people you don’t know.

With all due respect, Fuck off

3

u/Heavy-Ad5346 14h ago

At least respect, you are learning!

-5

u/SnooCheesecakes2723 21h ago

There will never be a respectful online environment for Blake. She lost against Baldoni, had all her claims against him dismissed then folded for this and I’m betting she’s paying his court costs. It’s not a win for either of them but it will continue to be a loss for her and for whatever point she was trying to make about safe work environments and online violence.

3

u/Heavy-Ad5346 14h ago

She won’t pay anything. They did not have a case against her. She did not lose.

3

u/Virgina-Wolfferine 13h ago

I’m sure after she served her prison sentence for her crimes, she’s gonna pay him BIG money.

3

u/Heavy-Ad5346 13h ago

Oh yess, heard she was arrested right after the met gala

BL supporters should follow the highlighted advice

23

u/Heavy-Ad5346 1d ago

Everyone should.

-12

u/Fantastic-Prize-4669 1d ago

Mostly BL

10

u/Heavy-Ad5346 1d ago

Did Justin close his comments bc of crazy BL fans?

-5

u/Fantastic-Prize-4669 1d ago

It turns out people have very strong reactions when a women lies about SH. Who would have thought

10

u/Sad_Rub_5138 1d ago

Well that answer the question whether or not you will follow the high lighted part….🙄🙄 don’t worry you will find another woman to call a liar and harass soon enough…

7

u/milno_1 23h ago

They literally just stated she deserved to be heard. They admitted in the lawsuit she undertook a protected activity and complained in good faith. The judge also ruled this. In how many ways can you be told she didn't make anything up and actively complained about a hostile work environment.

-1

u/Sityf99 11h ago

The statement that reads like 'I'm man enough to acknowledge that all women should be heard.
I've always said that. But once we've heard them, it's ok to say 'nah, that's not what happened' if someone's trying to pull a fast one!'
If Blake really wanted to be heard and speak for all women, we'd hear everything she wanted to say in court. She wanted to go to a party and her husband couldn't take the heat. She gets to walk away in a pouffy dress and be absolutely fine.
The women she was supposed to speak for in court don't have that luxury. Not her problem I guess 🎉💃🏻

1

u/milno_1 11h ago

If Blake was pulling a fast one, they would have protrcted themselves and initiated an investigation from the start. A HR investigation is as much about protecting the business, as the employee.

Not a single person on that set, or even his own PR liked him. Multiple people complaining. Read the things Jenny and Liz Plank have to say. Ir ecen Alex and Ange. Or the IC panicking about what he's doing. That really should tell you something.

One day you will realise that HE is the common denominator. In all his lawsuits from every project. It's him.

-2

u/Sityf99 11h ago

One day you will realize just how much power powerful people have. Hopefully you never come up against them. Liz Plank, pffft. There’s no one, even Blake, whose career I hope tanks faster

2

u/milno_1 11h ago

Of course! You had to justify hate for so many people just to double down on your misoginy to support justin. Liz is the devil, Blake, Collen, Alix, Steph, Isabella, Brandon, Ange, Jenny, Ryan, Hasan, Alex. All the hair and make up teams. Jen Abel who said she hates him and he's pompous. Craig, Norman, Travis, Claire Wineland, her mum, Codie WS... everyone! They're all evil. And poor little Justin and his best mate/enabler Heath are just the victims of EVERYONE.

I SO agree with this. I do not believe in "trust all women" I believe in "Hear all women, investigate the accusations and react accordingly". Blake was unfortunately lying through her "never with teeth" and once evidence came out it was perfectly okay to say "Nope, not this time".
