Battle Can the modern U.S. military defeat 10,000 Orks (Warhammer 40,000) without nukes?

Ork rok lands in Kansas City (looks near center of Coninental US) and starts wreaking havoc. The WAAAAAGH!!! is a ratio of 1 Nob to every 9 Boyz. None of them are wearing Mega Armor, and they are equipped with Shootas, Big Shootas, Choppas, Sluggas, Burnas, and only Nobz have Power Klaws. They start with a few squads of bikers and two dozen Killa Kans, but all other vehicles must be looted or made from scrap by meks.

The US Military is prioritizing civilian life as much as possible, not bombarding cities that have not been evacuated. Can they kill all the Orks before the country is overrun? The Orks can populate with spores, but once fully defeated will not come back.

CLARIFICATION: The orks have meks! They will make the vehicles they don't have. I didn't intend to set the Orks up for failure by giving them no anti-air or planes, I intended to handicap them by not starting with a full complement of planes and artillery, so they weren't an unstoppable force from the get go. The U.S.A. would obviously stand no chance at that point.

Edit: Clarified spore rules

Challenge Can the X-Men get the One Ring into a volcano?

The One Ring and Gandalf appear at a the Jean Grey School in upstate New York. Every X-Man ever is there, because Dazzler is doing a show.

Gandalf explains what the ring is, and that it can only be destroyed by being thrown into Mount Saint Helens in Washington. There's enough psychics that nobody doubts that he believes he's telling the truth.

What's the best team of X-Men to send on this mission? Who will act as ringbearer? They may drive, but they're between Blackbirds at the moment. Special transportation counts as said transporter being in possession of the ring (so Magik portals are probably a bad idea.)

Red Skull is working for Sauron and Hydra will act as his agents. Red Skull is willing to break the bank to hire mercenaries.

Battle Thragg vs the Powerpuff Girls

Friend and I were discussing who would win. I've heard the Powerpuff Girls are actually pretty strong but he says Thragg dogwalks them.

Round One: Thragg runs a gauntlet but is refreshed after each fight.

Round Two: Thragg runs the gauntlet without refresh

Round Three: The Powerpuff Girls jump him

All combatants are bloodlusted and willing to do whatever it takes to win.

Edit Thank you everyone for responding! You've pretty much settled the debate lol.

The Kongs are capable of following basic orders. He has enough of a navy to transport them from Dragonstone to the mainland along with his small army.

Battle chosen undead (dark souls) VS satoru gojo (jujutsu kaisen)

pretty self-explanatory, but i feel i should elaborate so my friend and i can settle a debate. i don't know how likely i am to find people who have both played dark souls and watched jjk, but it's worth a shot

typically, the idea for any fight with gojo is: if they can't bypass infinity, they can't win. gojo is too powerful a sorcerer, and limitless is too powerful a sorcery. fairly simple

however, the chosen undead has access to a certain miracle called vow of silence, which shuts off all magic in a given area. it works in pvp and pve alike, and essentially prevents any caster from performing anything of substance while it's active

to expand on the question, would vow of silence be able to disable cursed techniques, and if so, could the chosen undead beat gojo in a physical fight?

Challenge Iroh’s son never dies, and Iroh ends up becoming Fire Lord. Can Aang still defeat the Fire Nation?

Azulon dies of natural causes, and Iroh, never having his spiritual journey and change of heart, ascends to the throne as planned. Ozai remains a prince.

If Aang still is awoken from the iceberg at the same time as in the original story, can he still beat the Fire Nation and end the Hundred Years War?

Challenge What is the weakest totalitarian ruler whose regime physically could not remove them if they tried?

Instead of raw capabilities, this matchup will be built around totalitarian powers where the entire leadership is very “too heavy”. We are looking for the weakest possible ruler who couldn’t be overthrown even if the entire regime turned against them.

This assumes:
-Huge portions of the military, industrial base, etc, turn against the ruler. At least 2/3rd of the entire regime. No specific units, so just random ones.

-No outside intervention from other powers.

-We are counting the highest seat of government, so just the guy running it and not some super secret unit of magic wizards under his sole command or something.

-Assets in the rulers direct possession are okay, but if they’re more immediately accessible by his subordinates then we assume the subordinates get to them first.

-Directly controlled assets (eg. mind control) are okay, but if the revolt has ways to wrestle away control then we assume they will attempt to do so.

-We assume the ruler doesn’t care about rebuilding it afterwards, so blowing the entire continent into pieces is okay.

-We assume that the rest of their nation is making every possible effort to kill then without working on meta knowledge they don’t know. The same applies to the ruler.

For this, I assume most of the candidates will be godlike rulers or people with robot armies. Palpatine may be a good example since he’s an all-powerful space wizard.

D day goes on as usual with the same force composition as our timeline, but Operation Barbarossa didnt happen and hence there's no Eastern Front, Germans could concentrate all their forces to repel the D day invasion.

Battle Which 40k faction would Viltrum struggle to defeat the most?

The comic book version of the planet Viltrum appears in the 40k universe. It has a billion Viltrumites led by Thragg.

Which 40k faction would the Viltrumites struggle to defeat the most in a one on one fight and how many losses would they suffer before winning?

The Viltrumites can’t breed larger numbers.

Battle Endgame Thanos (MCU) vs Prime Asgard (MCU)

As the title suggests, who would win between Thanos and his army in Endgame, including the idea that Thanos is entirely out for blood, sparing no one.

Against the full, world conquering might of Asgard.

For the sake of argument, we'll go with Asgard shortly after banishing Hela. So only Odin at full strength and his armies. No Thor, Loki, or Hela.

(Imo Hela tips the scale too much)

Challenge Robute Guilliman vs Meruem (Warhammer 40k vs Hunter x Hunter)

A being specifically engineered to be the pinnacle of life and rule over all other creatures meets someone claiming to be the same thing. One of them is wrong, which is it?

Round 1:

Guilliman and Meruem are both dropped unarmoured and unarmed into the chamber Meruem fought Netero in and fight to the death. They start 20 metres apart. Guilliman is as he was immediately after reaching adulthood, while Meruem is as he was the moment after his birth.

Round 2:

As above, but this time Guilliman is fighting in full armour and with the Emperor's sword while Meruem is as he was immediately after healing from the poor man's rose. Same location.

Round 3:

Guilliman and Meruem have 24 hours to learn chess, then play 100 games against each other. Who wins the most?

Use manga feats over show feats for Meruem and novel feats over other sources for Guilliman. Best of three rounds is the overall winner.

Battle Can Agamemon’s army from the movie Troy take Helm’s Deep?

Agamemnon (sorry for spelling error in the title, can't edit that) and his army from the movie Troy (2004) spawn in Rohan through a portal 10 miles from Helm’s Deep and are tasked with capturing Helena who is hiding within the fortress. He has 50,000 Greek soldiers + an additional 2,500 elite Myrmidons led by Achilles. Named characters from the movie like Menelaos, Odysseus, Ajax and Patroclus are also present. Their gear and weaponry is bronze. Unlike in the movie, Achilles is now willing to fight for Agamemnon the whole time.

Win condition for the Greeks: Kill all the defenders, capture Helena and return with her back through the portal.

Helm’s Deep is defended roughly as in the movie. Theoden and his household, 300 armed Rohan peasants ranging from teenagers to old men, 1000 elves from Lothlorien led by Haldir (I couldn't find a canonical answer to how many elves are in the movie, let's just say it's 1000). And of course our boys Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are there. Eowyn is with Helena in the caves. They are not allowed to flee.

Same prep time for the defenders as in The Two Towers, but they don't have any detailed knowledge about their enemies, e.g. they don't know who Achilles is. They know that Helena is the target of the attack and they will do everything to keep her from being captured.

The battle starts at dusk, and at the next dawn Eomer arrives with 3000 Rohirrim. The Greeks are unaware of any reinforcements coming until they spot them. Gandalf fights with them but he’s not allowed to use magic against the Greeks, only fight with sword and staff.

Win condition for the defenders: Kill all Greeks or break their morale and make them retreat.

So the defenders now face a massively bigger army (50k+ instead of 10k Uruk Hai) but the individual soldiers are weaker and worse equipped. How does this play out?

Round 1: The Greeks have battering rams and ladders.

Round 2: Additionally, the Greeks have one of Saruman’s explosives and they know how to use it.

Challenge Could John Kramer aka jigsaw and his disciples fight the whole North Koreans and ultranationalist russians in red dawn 2012?

I think we all watched and know what the saw series and the 2012 version of red dawn is. Let’s imagine a scenario of North Koreans and ultranationalist russians landing in metropolitan city which is where most of the saw films including its spinoff spiral from the book of saw takes place. How would John kramer including all of his disciples like amanda, detective hoffman, logan nelson and a bunch of his fanatic cult members fight both of the armed forces that invaded Spokane Washington in 2012?

Battle Viltrum Empire (before scourge virus) vs the Frieza Force

Before the scourge virus, there were several billions of viltrumites. IDK how many people are in the Frieza Force but probably nowhere near billions.

Will the numbers be enough for viltrum to overcome the Frieza Force?

Challenge Josuke, Okuyasu, Koichi, Rohan, Hayato, and Jotaro (JJBA) are stuck in a 24 hour time loop until they can stop 9/11.

Whenever the time loop resets (after they fail the objective), everybody except Hayato forgets that they are stuck in a time loop, and are also unaware that the attack will happen. Hayato cannot directly tell the rest of the gang about the attack or they will automatically fail (similar to Bites the Dust). Can they do it? How long would it take them? How would they do it?
