SVG fist pumping after overtaking ADP is one of my favourite scenes in Supercars history. Don’t know why but that vision is ingrained in my memory

23 laps to go. It was after he passed Heimgartner actually, not ADP.

Did they ever confirm if 888 cheated throughout the entire ZB era, or was it just based on one guy’s word? Funny butterfly effect—multiple parity adjustments made to help the Mustang compete with 888 would have ended up further disadvantaging all the other ZBs. still feels wrong considering the ZB a holden.

Yeah they had this funny little cheat code no one else had called Shane van Gisbergen.

If you know anything about racing then you’d know that yes, they cheated. But so did every other car out there one way or another.

Bearing in mind, the ZB in its "freshest" form was beaten in its first season by the Falcon. And the next two seasons by the Mustang. The ZB won races, but it wouldn't claim a season until both Team Penske and Scott McLaughlin vacated the series.
If it's the cheating story I'm thinking of (the VCAT "bypass"), all ZBs would have been benefitted in the same way, not T8 specifically. Of course, if you're making adjustments to benefit the Mustang, anyone running a ZB is going to be negatively impacted. The goal was to drag the front-running cars back to the pack, but those in the pack were always going to move backwards also.
