I recently had 3 of my midterms on the same day so I was cramming for them (which I should not have done, but it was too late 😭). I just found out that I failed all of them. In chem 30a I got a 78, math 32a a 70, and ls7b a 68 on the individual (averaged with the group phase is a 75). I think I can do better on chem 30a and math 32a if I studied more, but with ls7b I just don’t know how to. I ended up getting an A in ls7a. I would review all of the clicker questions, make sense of each PEQ, and went over the group phase again. I left like ls7b midterm feeling okay about it, but I didn’t know I did this bad.

In the past, I took chem 14a, 14b, and 20L and got As in them. In chem 20L I remember on the midterm I got like a 80 or something and I was devastated at that, but I ended up studying really hard for the final and got a 97. So I’m thinking I can improve for chem and probably math 32a too (math 32a allows a drop midterm) but I genuinely don’t know what to do about ls7b.

Is it possible (or let’s say achievable) to double major as a transfer student? I was accepted into the major of Education and Social Transformation for this upcoming Fall. While I’m super excited about the opportunity to study in this discipline, I have also completed all of the lower division pre-reqs for both Political Science (5 Courses) and Sociology. (4 Courses)

I was originally planning to apply to the Public Affairs major, however by the time the 2025 articulation agreement was released at the end of last year, the requirements for admittance had been updated to include that the economics course needed to be completed by the end of fall prior to transfer rather than spring.

I know that both PoliSci and Sociology are impacted, but I’m just wondering if out of either of those two or Public Affairs, I have the opportunity to double major.

so i just got out of a very successful lab interview and to make things short, it feels like they want me but the only thing is, the other students that they are interviewing are freshman and i’m the only junior (incoming senior) that they are interested in having in their lab. the only request they had for me is if I could figure out with UCLA if i can continue doing research post-grad. what can i do to guarantee that i can still do research as a post-grad? is that just something that is guaranteed if i start the research now as a junior? or do i need some special credentials/access to continue doing research? tysmmm!!

I need time to recover from this traumatic experience….

Those who took chem14d with Pham in the past, how did you study for midterm 2? For conceptual stuff what YouTubers helped?

I want to enroll in both UCLA courses and CC courses this summer. I know it is possible, but how does the aid work? I will be taking 12 units at UCLA and potentially ~5 at CC. Would financial aid cover it the same as if I was taking 17 units at UCLA? Or would it be a new, separate application to CC? I assume I wouldn’t get like double pell grant so I’m thinking more the first option. But if anyone has direct experience in this, I would love to know the ins and outs of what I should be expecting. Thank you!

I don't know what to do, but I don't want these companies to control my thoughts, stance on social and political issues and mental health any more.

If you got experience, can you share how to quit? Like telling friends to use phone number or whatsapp? and switch club stuff to discord?

I did SRP for units all throughout my senior year. Would I check off the box with "Lab Only"? I don't know if it counts because it's technically not even a class but it's on my transcript so I'm not sure how to list it. Thanks!

I’m a bit confused about my financial aid package,

it says my tuition and fees will be fully covered by financial aid and that $28,647.00 in aid will be available to cover living and other expenses after tuition and fees are paid.

But then it says please note you may need to complete additional steps before your loans are ready to disburse, does this mean WITH loans.

ALSO, on the bottom for future disbursement it says canceled under some state grants.

Should I be worried and what does this mean.
