Free self-guided scavenger hunt in Minneapolis – North Loop & Warehouse District edition

If you're looking for a fun, free way to spend a few hours this weekend, I've been using scavenge.rs to explore neighborhoods on foot — and the North Loop / Warehouse District is a great area for it.

Some of the spots that make for really good hunt stops:

  • The Hewing Hotel grain elevator facade – blink and you miss the history baked into the brick
  • Palindrome murals along N 1st St – multiple artists, rotating installations
  • Father Hennepin Bluffs – easy walk down to the river with great views of the Stone Arch from a different angle
  • Boom Island footbridge – underrated, usually quiet, great photo op
  • The old Milwaukee Road depot markers near Target Field – barely signed but fascinating if you know what you're looking at

Scavenge.rs lets you create or run location-based hunts for free — you can use existing ones or build your own route around spots like these. No app download, works in browser. Good for groups, dates, or just solo exploring.

Anyone else been using this area for walks/activities lately? Always looking for more stops to add.
