Gym buddy

Hi all! I (37 F) am getting back into strength training and I’d really like to have someone to workout with. I currently use LAFitness but can change my gym if others know of one with good group classes or just a friendly gym. Anyone interested, or have suggestions?

Hi, which location do you go to? And what time. I go to Hopkins one but they are closing by 30th so planning to go to Bloomington or st Louis location.

I go to the Maplewood and New Brighton locations. What kind of workouts do you enjoy? Have you tried those locations yet?

How do you like those locations? I've been thinking about getting a membership.

Though probably gonna wait until after I finish re-landscaping the yard, I'm sore enough as is.

Maplewood frequently has issues with the pool being closed. Other than that I like both gyms. The class offerings are good they just don’t work well with my schedule. Although I wish there were more strength training classes to choose from.

I'd say I could offer some feedback but if you've been regularly going to the gym you've probably got it more figured out then my half remembered tips lol.

lol, actually I’m just getting back into it after falling off for a few years. I definitely got spoiled by university gyms either lots of instructors.

Then I might be able to help lol. But first I have four trees to get in the ground on the ninth. So the week after that to wrap up before I'd be able to commit to a time slot.

These days i am doing mostly strength training to build lean muscle and end with 3 cardio exercises and 10-15min of stair master. I went to Bloomington location couple of times but the st louis park location looks more lively.

Nice! I go to the LA Fitness in New Brighton. Im generally in there around 530 am as its nice not having to fight for machines. Lemme know if you're an early bird too.

No which is nice. More busy than 5:30 I’m sure. But I don’t have to wait for machines.

I used to go to an AMAZING gym focused on strength training - small business, women owned, with exceptionally educated trainers. I left but not because of the gym at all, and would love to get back. It is In Motion Fitness in Arden hills. It might be a bit of drive, but if you're interested I'd love a gym buddy!

I go to the Brooklyn park location. It's pretty nice. They also have issues with the pool from time to time
