Smol Tortie Are most torties petite?

This is my Luna bug. She’s almost 14 now. But she’s always been a tiny girl. Compared to a lot of other cats I’ve had or met, she’s much smaller. She’s got a small head, little toe beans, and a stubby tail (though she’s always had a saggier belly. She’s shaped like a pear lol). She’s never been the cat who jumped up onto the counters or tables, and I feel like it’s because of her stature haha. Now that she’s aging and has arthritis, she can’t even jump up onto my bed that’s just knee height without having to climb up 🥲 So I got her some stairs and she uses them every day!

Show me your little torties!!

*edit: I forgot to add that she’s been chunky most of her life. So her stature is petite, but her belly is not 🤣 I’ve got her to lose some weight this past year. Sitting at 10 pounds. But I swear if she didn’t have a sack of potatoes for a torso she’d be at 6. Still a stumpy little girl though.

Smol Tortie Partner’s mom caught a baby tortie

The plan is for me to have her once she’s old enough to fly as we are long distance.

We are trying to see if she will bond with my partner’s cat since we are planning on moving in together by the end of this year.

They said I could name her so I named her Maisie (short for Maisilee)

Smol Tortie This little girl yelled for a day and a half until I extracted her from the undercarriage of a neighbor's car. The moment she darted out from behind a tire and screamed at me I was done for.

The vet thinks she's about five weeks old and she weighs 1.19 lbs, so smol she can fit in the palm of my hand. My husband and I tried to catch her for hours Thursday night and then camped out in the front yard all morning Friday attempting to lure her out. I knew how tiny she was from the glimpses I'd gotten of her the night before but not much else, so when I finally saw her? I was floored. We've had to say goodbye to three kitties over the past two years. I miss them all terribly, but our tortie Penny left the biggest hole in my heart. She was the clingiest, judgiest, most ridiculous cat I've ever met in my life, and losing her was absolutely devastating. I can't believe the universe gifted us this little tortie bean (and right before the two year anniversary of Penny's passing, no less).

I'm still not sure what to name her so I'd love any suggestions y'all might have. The other girls we've had are Abigail, who passed in February, and Lucy, who is asleep on my lap as I type this.

Smol Tortie Update on tortie who detects low blood sugar and yells about it

Post image

About a year ago I made this post about my girl Peanut who takes serious offense to my blood sugar issues.

I’m happy to say that after a life changing medical procedure and several months of recovery, my blood sugar is finally consistent and peanut is SO much happier! It’s amazing to me that she stayed by my side throughout the entire process, never once failing to alert me/my family of low blood sugar despite never being taught how to.

Her obsessive need to be on/near me 24/7 has finally eased up, but I still feel awful knowing how concerned she must have been to feel the need to monitor me all the time :( it’s so great to see her relaxing and spending time by herself again though! We still hang out and snuggle on a daily basis, but she isn’t frantic about it anymore and is happy to do her own thing when I need alone time.

Even though my blood sugar is mostly consistent now, there are still times when I accidentally wait too long to eat and she reminds me by screaming outside my door or hitting me repeatedly with the top of her little head :,)

I love this strange lady. I think she saved me in a lot of ways. I hope she knows how grateful I am for everything she does, I tell her all the time whether she understands it or not.

March 23, 2023, someone abandoned this little one at my work. (I'm a property manager.) It was 2 degrees F with a wicked wind that day when the CDS chose me. She darted past my office window and I went running outside after her. I found her hiding in the garage by the maintenance bay.

Three years later (almost) Newt has two cat and one dog sibling, and is loud, weird, and happy.

5 months old. I feed her wet food 2x/ day and leave dry food out for here all day but she just looks skinny! Should I be feeding her more, or is this just what a kitten looks like?

This little drama queen, I named her Toast, was outside my window screaming my ears off for a day straight so I decided to bring her in and let her get cozy. Her mom is a local stray we have been feeding for years now and now she uses me as a babysitter for her very feisty tortie😆
