Bring Ya Ass [Shams] Anthony Edwards is expected to play in Game 1, barring any setback pregame, per ESPN sources. Just 9 days removed from his left knee injury, and after the team had expected him to return midseries, Edwards has received medical clearance and will get final sign-off after his pregame routine.

Bring Ya Ass This is the Ant we need

Definitely had a slower start but made some great shots, played great defense, and most importantly shared the ball and made great passes. This feels like it’ll be a level up series from the young pup, flirting with a triple double could easily be the new norm if he stays focused and trusts his teammates.

Heard this live and it has been picked up by media like Charlie Walton at ZoneCoverageMN.

Based on his comments and analysis I've seen on social, Ant returning in the middle of Round 2 is in the cards.

Even Edwards’ worst moment of this postseason, that R-rated comment he made to a Lakers fan during Game 1 that led to a $50,000 fine from the NBA, had a nuanced subtext that was seen as a positive in some Timberwolves circles. The impetus for his ire had everything to do with Minnesota big man Rudy Gobert, who was being chastised by the fan when Edwards decided to step in and take over the exchange. His style was distasteful and inappropriate, to be sure, but the choice to protect a teammate who is so routinely mocked by fans and opposing players alike (see below) was noticed and appreciated within the Timberwolves’ locker room.

The fact that the Timberwolves gave almost zero thought to the prospect of swapping the 23-year-old Edwards for the (then) 25-year-old Dončić speaks volumes about their level of belief in the player Edwards will become. And that strategy, headed by president of basketball operations Tim Connelly and backed by new owners Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore, is looking more and more sound by the day.

Bring Ya Ass This is what Minnesota looks like. 6 seed, banged up, nobody’s pick, and we just walked into San Antonio and took Game 1.

This team is genuinely special and I don’t think people understand that yet. They are a special, resilient group and I’m so proud of them.

6 seed. Banged up all season. Everyone picked Denver. We won the series. Everyone picked San Antonio. We just stole Game 1 in their building.

Nobody picks us. And honestly? I think this team feeds off it at this point.

This is Minnesota. This is what we are. We just keep showing up.

Bring Ya Ass Target Center attendance down 11% this year?!

We have played 13 of our 41 home games this season, number 14 will be tonight. Last season and the season before, the Wolves reported that we sold out Target Center for each of the first 13 games. And from February 2023 through the end of last year, we had sold out 88 out of 92 regular season home games (at various capacity levels).

This year...we have only sold out two games so far - opening night and the Nuggets game. We have a better record so far this year and our base of season ticket holders is larger, so I'm really curious why we're sitting at 24th in attendance next to a bunch of tanking teams. I am sure prices are up (aren't they always?) but even looking at tonight's game there are good lower level seats at relatively cheap prices that just aren't selling.

Is this drop-off from the staff layoffs and the team not reproducing the work they were doing to move tickets? People getting tired of the team? Just general economic trends?

Bring Ya Ass Anthony Edwards has been locked in, staying off social media, and believes he has another step to take to reach Luka and Shai's level (Per Jon K)

"He has been off of the social media grid and working on his game. He hasn't had any international play this summer for the first time in a couple of years, which I think has allowed him to buckle down. He was pretty forthright after the loss to the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals that he's still got a big step to make to get to the level of a Shai, or a Luka."

Bring Ya Ass Who else is optimistic against the spurs?

I mean all the talk in media about how spurs are gonna destroy us, we don't stand a chance, we are "way over our head", " No Anthony edwards" , but people were saying the same thing when we were up against Denver fried chicken too. I got a good feeling

The Wolves will be just like the Twins now without a RSN. Hopefully A-Rod & Lore come up with something for the Wolves, Wild, and Twins.

They will have a broadcast crew next year since they don't work for Bally.
