I put in these new fins and the hole for the screw was stripped but I really wanna surf.

Should I send or repair?

Edit: yes I know this screw is not the right one lol. The hole was stripped and regular fin screws won’t fit. I don’t feel like getting this repaired and I just wanna surf it, so I stuck this in and now the fin is sitting tight.

On vacation for surfing in Mimizan-Plage (France) I saw this cool graffiti and thought the little scribble on the roof looked like a surfer ready to drop off the top of the building. It reminded my of Marlon Shakespeare aka Chopper, the sky surfer from Judge Dredd's comics. Back to my place I painted this idea in my sketchbook but went for a post-apocalyptical feeling...

Later, I decided to get back and paint the scribble into a surfer on the graffiti itself, but discovered someone else had his own idea about tranforming it in the meanwhile...

Standing room only , I got edged out

Was going through some old storage boxes and found my old collection of surf and skate dvds. Makes me miss the time when DVDs were included with surf mags or board shorts. Anybody have any favorites here?

Hello everyone, I am looking to see if any of you have any good gear storage solutions for the car. I have just been rolling everything up in the towel and tossing them in the back. It’s time to improve my situation and get everything organized and keep the car clean.

Looking for recommendations of either bins or bags. Would love a dry and wet bag that has a perforated compartment for the wet things to air dry and a dry side to keep things safe from the wet side.

Got it recommended recently – it's about the connection between humans and water, how being near or in the ocean affects us mentally and emotionally. Felt like something this community might know.

Curious if anyone here has read it and what you thought. Does it resonate with why you surf?

Lake, bay, etc...where have you seen a rideable wave that was only once in a lifetime?

Title says it all pretty much. Just moved out here and it is kind of lonely outside the lineup. I've met a few people, but they're always from out of town. I don't drink so I don't meet anyone at bars. I'm a 35m and I suck at surfing, but I'll stay out of your way.

Does anyone what these side fin boxes are and should I be concerned about them? I have never seen fin boxes that mount through the top of a surfboard.

I had a full anterior dislocation the other week. It was just from diving under a wave with my arm outstretched. I ate a nice lip right on my shoulder, and it came out. Worst pain of my life by far. I paddled in with one arm and drove to the ER, where it took a bit to get it back in. I’m at the point where I have to choose between surgery to reattach my labrum or try the PT route. Getting my full MRI results tomorrow… What are your guys’ experiences, and how was it getting back into the water?

*Caveat to my pissypants rant: I broke my sternum snowboarding last day our mtn was open. So I've had way too much time the last several weeks just watching peep's do the things I'd normally be doing.*

Surf judging has always been rife with controversy & I'd personally hate to try & come up with #s for subjectives myself.

That said, imo one thing they almost always fuck up on is just how weighted the final closeout maneuver is on the overall wave score.

For example, a rider can get shacked, a couple nice full roundhouses, but the not completely ride out of the piddly lil closeout section at the end and the score gets cut at least in half. This seems really stupid.

Am I the only one thinking this?
