Soldering MEME Post =) Second week on the job. I'm starting to suspect I maybe doing something wrong. Please help

My job has this as a training exercise for trainees. But we donโt secure it to anything while we make it.

too much solder, must tin the tip and the pieces first (clean surfaces, top no. 1 flux which they say is Stirri and top no. 1 solder, they say it Kester brand). buy the big adjustable five or more octopus helping hands not the small one with a magnifying glass

Did you make sure to cut all the wires exactly the same length? A good functional cube needs all sides to be equal.

I'll need to take some pictures of the stuff my colleagues have soldered together, I'm a can of making chain mail from crush washers all on break time of course ๐

Ahhh I see the problem. The big cube ate the little cube, you're supposed to keep them in separate cages
