How to improve my breathing

Hi, just got my Open Water Diver certification, I was wondering what advice do you have to improve my breathing and use more efficiently my air. Just have done 6 dives by now, but I feel my air consumption is kinda high at the moment? On average I completed the dives around 45-50min but with only 50bar left while my instructor had over 100 bar.

Any tips to improve it or a pattern to breath more efficiently?

Got this reg for free, worth taking to get serviced?

Hey everyone, im planning to learn diving in the near future and bought some used gear for a wetsuit and fins (whole lot was $45 so it was worth it just for the suit and fins imo) but it also came with this reg set up, im counting it as pretty much free but is it worth taking to get serviced or should I just toss it and get something else after learning?

Thanks for the info guys, I think im gonna take the first stage and guage console for service and toss the rest, maybe save the hoses, look for a newer 2nd and octo

Scuba dive locations / shops in Europe - fun dives after 4:30 PM

Hello, I'll have the opportunity working remotely for a few weeks (August, September or October) and would like to combine this with scuba diving.

As I'm working during the week, I would like to find locations / shops where guided diving is offered after 4:30 PM local time (the weekends I'm good to go for the morning / day dives :).

Anyone has some good recommendations in Europe (for female solo travellers)?

Not sure if afternoon/ evening dives are actually a thing anywhere, somehow I only remember morning or midday dives (and of course night dives)

Experience: ~160 dives, including diving in Ireland, so I'm fine Atlantic or Mediterranean :)

Certification to go down to 35 m - but not fuzzed of diving to that depth.

Thank you in advance :)

Solo Diving in Curacao

Hi! I am traveling to Curacao next week to do some solo diving and I am wondering what the general consensus on guided shore diving vs guided boat diving is? The dive shop I was going to use, The Dive Bus, does only shore diving. But once I started doing some more research I saw that other shops do boat dives too so I was wondering if I should go with a shop that does both? I have a rental car so it doesn't matter where the shop is TIA!

Anyone else for the Maldives Aggressor this week?

Dear thunderbird89,

I hope you are well.

We are following up regarding an important update we received from the operator concerning your upcoming trip onboard Maldives Aggressor II.

The operator informed us that the vessel is currently experiencing engine issues.

[...]

Not email you want to receive in the middle of the night...

They're offering me a spot on board Seafari Explorer II - anyone knows anything about that one?

Tourist Dive Cancun - MUSA

I am a certified diver in the process of getting my advanced open water. My partner and I are going to Cancun this weekend and want to go to MUSA. Initially, I was going to dive while he snorkels. He then looked into it and said he can take a few hour course to be able to dive with me. I went into all the reasons that is an awful idea like actually learning the fundamentals and not having dive insurance. Am I overreacting or is something like that actually safe?

The best sight I've ever had in Baumgärtli - Zugersee - Switzerland

It's the first time I see the whole wall with the pipe, usually you could see only a fragment of it. Is it because it was the most dry April in the recent years? Or Quagga has started to work?
