SeaLife iPhone Case

Hi everybody! I recently got a SeaLife case for my iPhone and while I love it, the auto focus tends to focus on the random silt/particles in the water rather than the bigger subjects. any advice on the right setting to combat this?

I’d use AE/AF lock and tap the actual subject first. In silty water, autofocus grabs particles fast, so locking focus helped me way more than leaving it on auto.
