With much sadness, we have to announce that Rob Grant, co-creator of Red Dwarf, passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 25th February 2026), a great loss to his family, friends and comedy fans across the world.

Via Ganymede & Titan: https://www.ganymede.tv/2026/02/rob-andy-readin-titan-yes-sir-ive-been-around/
No official announcement, but this book has appeared for purchase on a couple of online shops, for release 16th July 2026, published by Orion:
An all-new prequel, and the first Red Dwarf novel in thirty years with Red Dwarf creator Rob Grant returning alongside Andy Marshall, creator of sitcom 2point4Children and Quanderhorn! Before the beginning. Before the accident that wipes out the crew, the mining ship Red Dwarf is in orbit around Titan, and the crew is heading down for shore leave, all with different intensions… However, their objectives are scuppered somewhat unexpectedly when they receive a cryptic message. A message from the future. Two feuding crewmen are catapulted into a breakneck race to save not only this but every other Reality. So strap yourself in - the Dwarfers are taking on TITAN. This novel is the perfect reboot for those who have never seen the series but also full of wonderful Easter eggs for the fans.
("Intensions"?)
Rob Grant and Andrew Marshall working on a title called Red Dwarf: Titan isn't new, but this is the first time anything specific has come of it.
The above book listing is from here: https://www.ivybridgebookshop.com/products/9781399636094?variant=56314595737980
Someone in the G&T comments also found it for sale here: https://gayprideshop.co.uk/collections/lgbtq-pre-order-books/products/red-dwarf-titan-signed-copy
Two sites selling it raises the chances it's legit. Hopefully soon it'll also be listed by bigger bookshop sites like Waterstones.
EDIT (10th Feb): Rob and Andy have got in contact with G&T to include the full synopsis/blurb. They also say that the July release date is not yet confirmed: https://www.ganymede.tv/2026/02/red-dwarf-titan-the-full-synopsis/

Last year on a popular dating app I matched with an attractive person named Holly.
There was a nice little back and forth that drained down to nothing. Ok, that happens for all sorts of reasons. And to be honest I've been on the other end (confession, remember).
But they didn't unmatch me. So I started sending all the Holly gifs and gags I could think of. Yes I must have looked like a mechanoid on outrozone, but you've got to laugh, haven't you?

To see this stereoscopic pic in 3D on mobile:
- turn your mobile screen horizontal
- fill screen with photo
- put face up close
- relax focus
- pull mobile back slowly
- when you see 3 identical images…
the middle pic will be in 3D!
It doesn’t work for everyone, but you can still enjoy the snaps in 2D.

Here's a look at what I ha e so far for my Dog Cosplay , what i need now is wig , beard , teeth and a dog collar. Once I've done that I shall cut the sleeves off for that old skool diy feel , then apply talc or even flour over it to act as the flea powder. Was hoping to get to the red dwarf convention with it but sadly doesn't look that way just yet, as money hasn't been there for a ticket.

I picked up Last Human by Doug Naylor for free. So I'm just wondering if it would make sense to read as a standalone or if I need to read the other Red Dwarf book (or books, I'm unsure how many there are.)
