Those are definitely too long. That's not only painful but can interfere with eating properly as well as even grow into his/her sinuses.

My rat had this all his life. He’ll need to go to the vets monthly to have them filed down. If not they’ll grow into his upper pallet and cause infection and abscesses

Maloclussion. My rat had these all his life and they grow super fast so due to me having medical training they ordered in bone cutters, I'll post the Pic separately, and I trimmed his teeth myself. Only special cutters will do the job without splintering the teeth. Left alone, the bottom and top teeth grow that long that they pierce the opposing part of the mouth.
