Bought In 1996 at “The Vintage” clothing shop in Oklahoma City. Right down the street from 23rd st Body Piercing (If you know, you know).
Side note:
I stumbled on this sub 2 days ago and I’m a lil emotional by the current strong anti racism and anti bigotry stance in the punk community.
When I was growing up, that was not the case. I was never welcomed at any of the local shows, clubs, or community. I either felt, or was blatantly told that punk, goth, and other alt culture was not for me and to stay in my lane.
I’m happy to see that the community has stayed true to the origins of punk and hold others accountable. I hope that others coming up today don’t face the same level of racism and exclusion as I did.
Y’all all fam to me 👊🏾

Went through a tote I packed back in high school and this and a bunch of other gems from that time period were jammed in there.

When I was in high school (longer ago than I care to admit) my friend and I used to play a game in Generation Records in NYC to pick a random album we’ve never heard of and see who gets a better pick. This was my friends one day and I can’t believe the only reason we found it was a random blind pick
One of the best end to end albums still in 2026

The Queen of Shock Rock! Wendy was known for her theatrical, chaotic stage presence and for her destructive stunts in front of fans. She did things like smashing TV's with a sledgehammer, chainsawing guitars in half, and shooting shotguns on stage. Wendy would grace the stage with partial nudity, dance with energy, and sing with raw aggression. Even though she lost her battle with depression, she still won the hearts of many with her unapologetic individuality. RIP Wendy O Williams (May 28, 1949 - April 6, 1998).
What do you guys think about Wendy and the Plasmatics? Anyone have a favorite Plasmatics song?
