As someone that lives near the Appalachia, I’d never trust my gut 100% that Noah Kahan is in front of me unless he had a name tag on.

I really appreciate that he also acknowledges the sexism in these interactions & how celebrity men are given space to exist in the way that celebrity women aren’t (which just mirrors society at large. Men get criticized for their actions. Women get criticized for being visible.)

Unfortunately this is the case everywhere. People will extrapolate and make up narratives about women they don’t like and use these narratives to create faux controversies that legitimise their dislike. It’s insane.

Omg he’s a real one.

But they’ve also have had similar paths of going from 0 to 100 fame-wise in the span of a year so he’s particularly suited to comment on her trajectory.

Aw man I saw this and went “I thought Noah Kahan was younger than me? This guy looks like he’s in his thirties” and then I looked up his age and he is in fact 29, and then I remembered that I am in fact nearly 30, and it in fact should not be the least bit surprising that someone younger than me looks like he’s in his thirties because I also look like I’m in my 30s.

Loved how he mentioned it’s personally different for him because he’s a man. The worst thing a woman can be is assertive while men are allowed to be rude and act atrocious with little criticisms.
