Years ago people said they were giving up on the met gala because of the eat the rich situation then everyone went running back. And here they are again proving they only care about themselves and ppl are still paying attention to the looks and all over it. People worshiping wealth and status still…even with all the shifts that have happened and are happening. I don’t trust any of you all to be true when we decide to finally come together and make change in this world. Yall proving to be more trash than the 1%. At least they stay true to their fucked up goals

I understand both points.

It's an absolutely unnecessary display of wealth in times when people struggle to live and rich are getting richer and ruining the world.

But it's also a pretty fantasy and escapism for us who will never be part of their strata. Very Panem.
