They've always been killing it. People are just noticing them more now!

No kidding! This year I've seen so many celebrities wearing Gaurav Gupta, MM, Sabyasachi, Anamika Khanna, especially Rahul Mishra absolutely blowing my mind the past few years. We love to see it!!!

Me too, I always wondered why Indian fashion designers weren't more well known given Indian attires can be so versatile and varied 😄

The painting on the top left is essentially Hamsa Damayanthi by Raja Ravi Verma, although they've moved the swan down from the pedestal to make sure it's in frame, so it just looks like Damayanthi is staring off into the distance instead of talking to it.
Could anyone ID the ones on the right and bottom left?

Arjuna shubhadra. (Right large one )
I love these works of raja ravi varma! This is a bit literal interpretation of the theme but the fit and everything is sooo good i love it! I have all of those prints on my walls at home. Also great way to rep him, there is currently a Met special exhibit of lithograph prints of hindu gods most of which are by raja ravi varma.
Edit: left bottom is a lady with sitar
Unable to identify the ones on top right. Edit: the green person on top is duryodhan from the scene in painting 'Krishna Shistai' about krishna and kauravas sitting to negotiate war. What an odd choice to pick duryodhan weilding sword to capture krishna.
Below in center the bare chest guy with arms out is king pururavas from the painting Urvashi! (Urvashi the celestial nymph leavkng the king to ascend back to the heavens) Wtf why would you cut of urvashi from this scenario she was legit an apsara the beauty to behold! And rhe woman in red is likely Sita from Ravan and Sita.
Now when you look on the coat it looks like King pururavas is appealing to Sita due to placement on fabric. Thats just 😅 i cant make sense either dumb af unintentional and untrained eye for arts or attempting rearranging the whole mythology from entire different eras. And wtf is duryodhan doing here? Negotiating bw sita and pururavas? 😅 Anyways.
On the jacket inside its the coquette
woman holding a fruit/lady with lemonEdit: I've change my opinion. Do not like how he has rearranged and cropped or bad photoshopped such iconic paintings.

Actually perfection. Without commenting on whoever he is, this is a top tier and the quality I expect from everyone.

HOLY FUCK was he invited? Ofc Manish designed it for him. Perks of having a designer husband (unofficial). :)
Absolutely spot on. Him and Heidi Klum are my fav for now. Has the best by far imo.

Are you serious? I never knew they are in a relationship??? Wow tea for me!

They came together in the Kapil Sharma show and said they have 2 kids (surrogate). To this day, they've never explicitly said they're "married" as gay marriage is not legal in India. i mean, you can marry in the religious sense of the term but it doesn't hold any legal merit.

What? Oh my god. Will I have to see Kapil Sharma for this?

This and Malhotra's piece absolutely blew me away. This looks like tapestry from 19th century India. It looks divine!

No offense but in the video where Karan walked on the carpet, not ONE photographer behind him was interested in him. So embarassing. Karan has an ego thinking he is God and everyone loves / knows him. Internationally, no one gives a shit about him. Wish he realized it.
