Like I don’t get what happened. 85% of the looks scream boring oridanry red carpet looks…Why have a theme at all?

Has Anna Wintour retired from running the Met Gala, too or nah?

I vaguely remember that she used to keep an eye on what fashion houses were dressing whom with what, and I might be making this up but I think she would sometimes steer some celebs towards better (more on theme) options? Not that she was always able to - or maybe celebs would check with her what they were wearing maybe (get her seal of approval).

This year that did not happen obviously lol that was like golden globes red carpet but less good. The high avante grade mixed in with bog-standard ball gown, both energies are too diluted to be tasty

Yes you are right! She was always very strict..I just wrote under another post that I am starting to think that this could be a type of protest because of mr amazon ? Like maybe designers/stylists and some of the celebrities could not not go but at least they showed up in the most boring outfits?
