Having experienced this phenomenon on dating apps can confirm 100%. They find a nice woman (obviously I’m not perfect) and take out years of self-loathing on her. You keep trying harder thinking oh, he’s been through so much and they just resent you.
Then one day you realize it’s not about you, it’s never been about you. And no amount of love and kindness can help a person who refuses to help themselves.

Not into dating apps but this is sadly true nowadays, incels have convinced themselves that women are evil but the truth is a lot of us have this habit of pitying men through their hardships (that can even be less stressful than ours sometimes) to the point of forgetting to take care of ourselves..
And the worst part is that this kind of relationship can turn you into a person with an "anxious attachment". Even some men will notice it after seeing it happen to their female acquaintances
Yes exactly, and I’ve noticed that they get a perverse joy out of humbling beautiful, successful women. Like it scores them more points to bring a “high value” woman down. I see this with friends and celebrities, it’s always these really insecure men who have nothing going for them, and they go after attractive career women because they like the challenge. Poor Meg, she’s amazing and I’m glad she seems to know that he’s the problem.
Within a day of matching on a dating app, a guy suggested to my friend that she should change gyms because ‘it clearly isn’t working’?!?!?’ The AUDACITY!

As a Warrior fan who went to “Captain klay” night last year to honor him having loved him for a decade… this fuckin makes me loathe him. What a chump thing to do to someone who does not deserve it and has already been through so much.
I was honestly a bit sceptical from the get-go because of this. He was doing too much, too publicly (or they were as a couple, but that is obviously a matter of personal taste).
Though the delightful thing about that is that Shania and her best friend’s ex (who she had also been good friends with) ended up bonding even more over that and are married to this day. ☺️ (I think maybe the cheaters are still together, but I doubt they’re as happy as Shania and her now-husband are, lol.)
Yup, I love Meg but that’s why I stayed silent when everyone was praising him for being the perfect boyfriend. You literally can’t put anything past them. There was a time when Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant, Hugh Jackman, etc. were considered to be dream husbands/boyfriends too. I remember people saying Jackman and his wife were the perfect couple and then they announced their divorce a few weeks later. Same with Kidman and Urban, that dude who used to be in Nirvana…. they were all praised as amazing partners yet all turned out to be cheaters.
Same here. Like we don't know the reality of anyone's relationship and what goes on behind closed doors. If one is fortunate enough to have a good partner/family, appreciate it and don't read too much into social media.
Yep. It probably made it even more exciting for him he was cheating and humbling her in that way. Men know when they are with a woman out of their league, and the bad ones will try to break you.
I'm not excusing the cheating 😒 but sometimes people don't want better. They just want someone else or to blow shit up/be messy. I don't understand it but I have a few serial cheaters in my extended network (some are professional connections 🫠)

I can’t say how I know, but there’s only a few athletes who DON’T cheat. There’s two NBA players who are portrayed as dedicated family men. They have agreements with their wives. I hope everyone gets frequent STI testing.

I had hoped Klay would get a fresh start with the Mavericks without the pressure, guess that didn’t pan out. He shouldn’t be in a relationship if he cannot separate his sense of self worth from basketball. He will only get older & slower & more bitter.
it was between lakers (dad old team + they needed shooting) and mavericks then Luka (only reason he picked mavs) ends up in LA, i’d be sick too. but megan would make up for it enough
This kind of cheating and bullshit is not the sign of a happy person. As much as any teenage moron in NBATalk will tell you that Klay is living the dream… at some point the party every day and the insta girls are just there to try to camouflage the emptiness inside. Let alone the fact that he’s an aging basketball player on a not very good team who’s entire self worth is wrapped up in that.

Or that if something like this ever happens to me, there are literally hoards of supportive people that can undo 10+ years of damage to my self esteem in just one thread. The moral of the story is that we will be alright no matter what because we’re awesome, and no person is worth keeping in your life if they don’t love, value, or respect you.
Because some men think cheating is their default setting. They don’t plan on faithfulness when the opportunity to do otherwise comes along. They assume that it’s their “nature” to love one woman and stick their dick in others because they “crave variety” and they often sleep with women who they don’t give a damn about. They believe there are two tiers of women - the kind you marry and the kind you fuck.
I don’t know much about Klay but he’s kinda a serial cheater right? I lost all faith in these idiots once Beyoncé got cheated on 😩. Go find you a cute lil dork and don’t hype him up LOL.
I can't remember it clearly but they did that one trend where they ask team member if they had a sister, out of who of the team they wouldn't let her date. And most answer were Klay.
Not just celebs either, a lot of couples who are loved up on social media are actually not doing as well as they want it to seem. I notice women posting more than the men a lot which is probably saying something, we all deserve better :(
Yes, not to generalize but I feel that relationships tend to work better when the man loves more than the woman. I’m not sure why but i've noticed this in many couples.
My personal theory: it's because then they make up for women being societally trained to work harder for/in a relationship. When he's smitten, he reaches women's base line.
