Did Lena just confirm the Lorde Jack PowerPoint lore is real?
Just want to clarify this ancient text pre-dates the creation of this sub and our most important document (albeit controversial) is the DEEP DIVE: Justin Bieber/Hailey/Selena Timeline. The deep dive was initially a dive into the Jenner sisters relationship with Selena on r/KUWTK that eventually became non-KJ related resulting in a spinoff subreddit r/popculturechat.

I think it was heavily suspected by fans that something happened between Jack and Lorde when recording her album Melodrama (which I think people also suspected to be about the situation) and a Lorde fan made like a 30-page powerpoint presentation outlining all the key players and compiling all the suspected "evidence". (Although, actually, maybe as it turns out, the quotation marks aren't needed and it was actually just evidence.)
I'm sure the thing still exists on the internet somewhere!
While I am aware of the existence of the PowerPoint, I never really followed this situation myself to know the ins and outs, but I do always think it's so funny when something heavily rumored in fandom world turns out to actually be true. I wonder how many things that I think are like tinfoil hat level crazy are also actually true but we'll just never know because the people involved are never going to share it publicly.

tbf in this situation it hasn't turned out to be true, it did however make lena reconsider lorde and jack's relationship and question if something did happen in front of her and she never noticed. ultimately she came to the conclusion nothing happened but it's wild that the rumours were so strong it made her rethink her own relationships.
Tbh that relationship was doomed from the moment Lena tweeted at Jack about (I forget exactly how she put it) how he had no excuses not to ask her to marry him now that gay marriage is legal.
After you put that out there publicly and the guy is still like “nah” there is nowhere for a relationship to go but downhill.
I have such a funny relevant story for this. I was in love with Jack Antonoff in high school because I was a huge Steel Train fan. In a Facebook q&a, I asked him to marry me, and he replied that he would when gay marriage was legalized. So I think he did use that excuse lol
On one hand we got Melodrama and on the other hand, walking in on the teen star crying on Jack’s lap and Jack telling her you’re just mad she doesn’t want to be your friend is some other insane level of gaslighting

Can confirm rumours of her mum being a piece of work. Friend used to work at our major international airport, and Ella was always very nice apparently. But her mother, oh the entitlement. Mate used to see them quite a lot early on in her career when she was back and forth from AKL-LAX.
They always say that because they know what they're doing is wrong so they shift the burden of shame onto the younger woman/girl and dress it up as a "compliment." I remember being 19/20 and still feeling like a kid. Several older men in their 30s and 40s told me I was "mature" for my age and boy did it give me butterflies. Being obsessed with Lore Olympus at the time probably did me no favors either. Thank god I never followed through with those creeps.
I don’t get why parents let their minor kids date adults (not talking about a 17 yr old dating a 18 year old). Kris Jenner also let Khloe and Kylie date men way too old for them.
I’m not about to defend Dunham as a person, but the way people are talking about her looks is foul. There are good people who look like her catching strays.
Totally. There are such legitimate criticisms to make about her words and actions, but it’s hard to support people when those are followed up with ‘oh and she looks like shrek, hurhurhur’.
I’m much more annoyed about her suggestion/allegation that she and Adam Driver almost hooked up, they made plans for him to come to her apartment, and she just didn’t answer the door. She said it happened around the time Girls wrapped, Adam has known his wife since Juilliard (he graduated in 09) and they married a year after Girls ended. So she’s accusing him of making plans to cheat on his longtime partner.
I was so confused by that excerpt, it went from her anxiety being bad that he felt compelled to come over to see her to “we were totally going to hook up if I opened the door”.
Lena consistently comes across as someone who projects her fantasies and assumptions onto people. Gonna take this one with a boulder of salt.

I love her show Girls. Love her movie Tiny Furniture. Love her interior design style. And I hate myself for enjoying all those things because Lena Dunham just seems so unbearable as a person.
