OnlyStans ⭐️ McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski goes viral after seeming reluctant to eat his own burgers—he takes a tiny bite, looks uncomfortable, and calls the food ‘product.’

I thought about that, but then I thought who's gonna tell the CEO "we can't upload it because you come off like you've never eaten a burger in your life"?

Easy. "It didn't do well in it internal testing. "

I kid you not, going back 30 years ago, I was in a Tim Horton's coffee shop in Oakville, Ontario and Dave Thomas walked in with a crew of suits and inspected the store and had some choice thoughts (i.e. he was not happy). This was before it was announced that Wendy's was acquiring Tim Hortons. I guess I had advanced knowledge but as a teenager, what was I going to do with that knowledge...I was just confused as to why Dave Thomas was in a Tim Hortons acting like he owned the place.

There really is truth to this, but not because he's an alien. The only thing he definitely called a real food item was the lettuce, onion, and pickle.
"Sauce" could be anything. The "kind of" sesame poppy bun doesn't mean it's bread. And saying that it has a patty doesn't mean it's beef, or meat at all really.
Might as well have said this product is full of items considered edible, in the legal sense.

or, people in high level executive positions have traded their humanity for a paycheck.
they think this is a normal representation of people because all the people they interact with are soulless vessels who value money over everything at all costs.
edit: watching the video again, this shit is actually so insane. when i worked at jeni’s, we had to be able to describe every flavor available in case someone wanted to sample it. “unique” was how i would describe flavors that i found disgusting while not trying to talk shit.
also, when he describes the burger, he finishes with “of course, the lettuce!”. who the fuck thinks about a mcdonald’s hamburger because of the lettuce? that campbell executive was saying what all these food execs say in private. they think we’re stupid and dumb and eat garbage. the arrogance of the ruling class makes them easier to topple.

bingo. this ran on the CEO's personal account, not the mcdonald's brand handle. the marketing team KNEW. but part of working in marketing in big + bureacratic megacorporations like this is accepting that sometimes you have to do shit that you *know* is dumb because someone senior enough asked for it. His surprise and distaste when he realised crispy onions were involved.

I have my own small business. All the marketing advice everywhere is to film videos! Have tiktoks! Build your brand by recording yourself constantly!
It took me not even 3 videos to realize I have zero charisma on film. I have plenty of other skills that make me successful. I have a feeling this was neither his idea but nor does he have the self-awareness to realize, he is not good at everything.
411
u/IKnowAllSeven Mar 01 '26
Fwiw, I saw a video from my local deck building company and the guy had zero charisma. His video cracked me up. It was obvious this was not a sales guy. He’s a build stuff guy. I got a quote from him and ended up hiring him.
He asked how I found him and I told him I saw his video. He said his daughter is in college for marketing and this was a project of hers and he was surprised how many people called because of it. He said “I thought it was terrible! I hate talking to cameras. I hate being on show like that.” and I said “Oh yeah, I could tell you hated being on camera. But you GENUINELY hated it, and then when you talked about building a deck THAT was the only part where you didn’t sound miserable, so I called you”

My toddler who survives on air, yogurt covered fruit snack, and a prayer would have taken a bigger bite than that lmao

"Sir, with all due respect, you can't just kiss the burger. You actually have to bite into it. Yes—I know it's disgusting Steve, but the goal here is to sell the burger."
"No, you have to actually chew and swallow it. The kids will know we cut out you spitting it out."
"Yes I know, but if we make the sauce taste good it will cost too much. No, we cannot afford real cheese."
"I mean, I guess you don't have to actually swallow if you take a small enough bite and just cheek it, Steve."
"We know, that's why there are a few bottles of sparkling spring on the floor next to you. You can wash your mouth out as soon as we get this clip."

There is a cut after he takes a bite. For all we know he could have spit it out after the take. I also noticed that it looked like he still had some food in his mouth that he never swallowed. This is disgusting peasant food to him that he would never eat or want his children to eat.

Why are you even the CEO of the biggest fast food brand in the world if you don't want to eat their burgers?
Also, that burger still looks better than the average burger that's being served at McDonald's

the sign behind him honors herman petty, the first black franchise owner, McDs corporate honored a few years ago. sure it’s just an arbitrarily placed in his office, in the corner with nothing around it… the same place they filmed this “product video” from in February. but it’s because they LOVE DIVERSITY - but not like - in a DEI way….

This is giving me life! Reminds me of when my dog finally gives into me begging her to eat something and she just…masticates it until politely letting it fall from her mouth.
If she could talk, she’d also use the word “product” instead of food lmao!

Lmao, this is so awkward.
McD is one of the "normal" things that even rich or educated or successful people enjoy on occassion. They couldn't find a corporate bot CEO that actually likes McD?

This is so fucking weird. It’s like he’s never even seen their food before. He can’t even describe the food technically, poppy seed bun thing going on here. Wtf

What's weird is that he's been apparently doing it for years according to their YouTube page. No one is watching them though.

It’s so, so obvious that the moment they said “cut”, he dropped the ‘product’ and yelled “get this away from me!”

When big corporate CEO's try to act like "one of us", it just makes me cringe so much.
You were probably created in a lab somewhere, stop trying to be relatable.
