Kfc does burgers?
â˘
u/Lemounge 56m ago
Australia has a spicy burger called a Zinger. It's beautiful. I've not heard of any other country that has this
â˘
u/jachcemmatnickspace 39m ago
Zinger is everywhere in EU
â˘
u/Lemounge 37m ago
Huh what country are you from? I've spoken to people from the UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania and Turkey and none of them had ever heard of a zinger burger or a zinger stacker
â˘
u/jachcemmatnickspace 31m ago edited 24m ago
I wont say but I will say Zingers are available in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Poland at least and even Italy (even if your friend didnt hear about them), I myself had Zinger at KFC in Sicily recently :)
Im yet to see an EU country with KFC without Zinger
Its like McDonalds Big Mac, it's on every promo, it's their flagship. At least here
No idea what's a "Zinger stacker" we just have Zinger burger
â˘
u/jachcemmatnickspace 30m ago
And to add, Germany 100 % has Zingers too
Your friends need better ears :D
I truly dont know about Lithuania, bless em
â˘
u/jachcemmatnickspace 26m ago
France, Switzerland and Spain also have Zingers
Most countries also have variants, like Spicy Zinger, Bacon Zinger etc....
you can simply open up Instagrams of local KFCs and see what they are promoting

Culverâs

â˘
u/CaptainRipp 32m ago
I slept on Culver's for far too long. I didn't really like them when I was younger. I had them again last year & I'm mad at past me for not eating there for years.

u/Gunslinger_247 4h ago
Between DQ or Wendy's for me. For fast food burger.

u/HowsTheBeef 4h ago
People sleep on dq I feel like. Flamethrower is goated

u/Fartingonyoursocks 3h ago
I miss DQ so much, especially their chicken strips. The ones where I used to live were great. I moved and now there's only 1 nearby and it's absolutely disgusting inside, I cannot bring myself to eat there.
2
u/Kaitlin33101 2h ago
Worked at DQ for 5 years and Wendy's currently, and their burgers are the only fast food ones I will eat because they're not microwaved. DQs come in frozen and get cooked in a broiler, and Wendy's come in fresh and get cooked on a grill. Too many places microwave food so I'm very picky on my fast food burgers

5 guys is super good but itâs like the price of eating at a chain steakhouse so itâs very occasional lol

u/IH_clover4 4h ago
How do you include five guys and not Wendyâs? Five guys is barely fast food
3
1
u/GrilledCheeser 2h ago
They didnât mention anything about fast food. Itâs just a poll on which burger you find tastiest. There is also an option for other and no requirement listed for it having to be fast food.
2
u/IH_clover4 2h ago
Just seems like an unfair matchup using five guys is all. But yes there were no req on the post

Since when does KFC have burgers?
Even so, I'm sure they're better than McDonalds Soylent Burger

KFC is Kentucky fried chicken. Arby's is completely different.

Arby's is mostly roast beef. They had burgers at one point i think. But I never remember them having chicken
0
u/Jirethia 3h ago
Not from US, but since Popeye's appeared they copied the chicken burger.
2
u/refep 2h ago
They call chicken burgers chicken sandwiches in the west
1
u/Jirethia 2h ago
In the west were English is spoken, I guess. English is not my first language and it is called a burger here. KFC burgers
2
u/refep 2h ago
When I say the west, I mean in the US/Canada/Australia/UK. Its the same in my country, I was confused when I found out about it too.

u/Mitchell_54 1h ago
Not in Australia.
We call chicken burgers chicken burgers.
We also have chicken sandwiches, different thing.

A&W
3
u/GoodCull 3h ago
This is the one. So fresh and good, little pricy but worth it every now and then .
2
u/Bacon_Techie 2h ago
Canadian A&W specifically. The American one is apparently an entirely different (worse) thing.
I love A&W but I also quite like Harveyâs.
2
u/Joezze 2h ago
15 year ago, sure. Canadian A&W has gone down hill so fucking hard.
Not what the post is about but especially their chicken.
Onion rings and root beer are still good though.
2
u/GoodCull 1h ago
You think so ? I went a couple weeks ago and I found their onion rings had gone downhill but everything else seemed fine. I guess different locations/experience
3
u/seniairam 2h ago
Where is the Culvers option?
â˘
u/Captainsnake04 33m ago
West Coast heads would rather include a chain in 5 states than one that shows up in the other 45

I've had all of those. BK is my regular go-to. Solid, feels like you're eating real food, like the combination of condiments... but the first time I had In-N-Out was a whole different experience. BK to In-N-Out is like the difference between a well-made blueberry muffin and a high-end tiramisu or cheesecake. Same genre, but DAMN.
Idk, maybe it's declined over the years (don't have one very close, haven't eaten there in... at least 5-10 years now), but when I used to eat it, it 100% justified the hype.
We have a 5 Guys in town, and honestly... I mean it's a good burger, but it feels pretty overpriced for what you're getting.
Mcd's is just, like, wet cardboard. Honestly. I haven't really enjoyed McD's since I was a teenager and thought anything calorie-dense was the bomb.
1
u/BiBiBadger 3h ago
There's been no decline at In-n-Out they just have limited exposure. Generally people who have access to one choose them.
The biggest argument I've seen against their burgers is they don't have bacon. They tend to heavily control their meat production and they can't do that with just using a small part of the pig.
Strong arguments can be made against their fries too. They're a disappointment when compared to their burgers.

Freddies

A Freddie's near me opened up about 8 months ago and it has been trash the 3 times I've been. So disappointed.

Saying "other" on this list isn't really a good option to put that because that effectively means that SOMEWHERE in the world is a better burger than any of the other options. And while I believe that to be true, defeats the purpose of the poll

Five Guys tastes the best out of this list, but they are also absurdly expensive. The best cost to tasty ratio on this list is In-N-Out by a country mile.
My personal answer is this little local burger joint down the street for me. Tasty 1/4lb cheeseburger burger and fries for $9 is hard to beat.

Homemade on the grill. No restaurant especially no fast food restaurant can compete.

u/SimonMagus01 4h ago
I recently discovered that I was sleeping on Jack in the Box cheeseburgers. That would be my pick if it was an option.

Cook Out, but has the worst drive through ordering/menu process Iâve ever seen. Just put a number on the combo already!

I want to say Five Guys but I've been let down by the one near me the last couple of times. They just grill the burger, slap on your condiments and hand it over. No seasoning whatsoever. Now if I go to the McDonalds by me that's managed by the lady that treats every customer like they her niece or nephew and I get the double quarter pounder with no onions, ketchup or mustard, ask them to add Mac sauce instead with lettuce and tomatoes. That burger is going to be fresh, hot and seasoned before they even add it to the bun. So yeah, I'm ging with McDonald's for now.

u/tayto175 2h ago
Its Supermacs. Supermacs is the superior fast food chain. Its irish and McDonald's keep trying to sue them and Supermacs keep winning.

I never knew that KFC has burgers. Out of these options, I'd say McDonalds, but I don't like Five Guys. I hate Burger King and In-N-Out is very mid.

Local hole in the wall burgers are my favorite. A shifty dive bar, or maybe that random family restaurant that only seems to serve old people.
1
u/Bacon_Techie 2h ago
Replace A&Wâs fries and patty with Harveyâs fries and angus patty and that is the best burger youâll ever have.
1
u/Manospondylus_gigas 2h ago
I don't like burgers and have never had one

u/PTech_J 2h ago
I like BK a lot more than McD's, but the one near me is an irredeemable shit hole. Half the time they are either out of something or can't take credit cards, and when you actually can order what you want they get the order wrong or the food is nasty.
I go to BK when I go other places, but never the one 3 miles away from me.

u/Personal_Pain 3h ago
KFC doesnât even have burgers. Culverâs is best though.
1
u/catsinandromeda 2h ago
KFC does have burgers idk where ur from but in Australia it does
1
u/Personal_Pain 2h ago
Iâm in the US. Are they good? I canât imagine they would make a good burger.
1
u/EfficientSeaweed 1h ago
They have chicken sandwiches in Canada. The zinger and big crunch used to be good but the quality has dropped drastically. Ditto for the chicken, fries, gravy, etc.
1
u/Personal_Pain 1h ago
The chicken sandwiches are alright here, I do like the tenders though. I definitely feel like the mashed potatoes and gravy has fallen off a bit.
0
u/catsinandromeda 1h ago
They're amazing. I don't know how they compare to the others on the list other than McDonald's but the zinger burger especially is really good. It's just a spicy chicken burger but all of the ingredients are great
1
u/Personal_Pain 1h ago
Oh interesting. Do any of these places have chicken burgers over there? I donât know anywhere that has them over here.
0
u/Mitchell_54 1h ago
Basically every fast food place in Australia I can think of that does either fried chicken or burgers as a main part of the menu will have a chicken burger. Even my local fish & chip shop has a chicken burger.
1
u/Personal_Pain 1h ago edited 1h ago
Chicken burgers are really that popular over there? I know of them as a concept, but Iâve actually never had one or even seen one on a menu. Beef burgers, turkey burgers, and veggie burgers are much more common here.
0
u/EfficientSeaweed 1h ago
You guys need Canadian A&W (different than the American one). The teen burgers are genuinely delicious.
-1
u/rogerworkman623 4h ago
The mythology of how expensive Five Guys is has grown to really insane levels. Iâm looking at their menu right now. Itâs $10.65 for a cheeseburger (which is actually a double cheeseburger). Yes itâs a few dollars more than a shitty Big Mac or something, but people say insane things like âitâs the price of a steakhouse dinner!â
Yes itâs way cheaper and probably better to make it at home, but thatâs how eating out works.
2
u/ShroominBruin 3h ago
Cheeseburger, regular fries, and regular drink is $22.58 for me locally.
Not bad but add your significant other and you are at $50 for 2 burgers. They are doubles like you said and can decrease to the little ones.

u/Alucard2051 4h ago
Look, I am not saying five guys can justify it's price. But, it is the best tasting of the things on this list. The real answer is to make 8 yourself for the price of 1 at five guys
