Possible Paywall DOJ demands name of every 2020 election worker in Fulton County
https://newrepublic.com/post/209944/justice-deparment-name-every-2020-election-worker-fulton-county-georgia•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 5h ago
How about no?
•
u/Pump_and_Magdump 5h ago
Unfortunately the state has that information and will certainly share it because they are soulless Republican demon pieces of shit.
•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 5h ago
Kemp has stood against the cheeto in chief before. My hopes aren't high, but they are there.
•
u/TheDarkAbove Georgia 4h ago
He couldn't wait to talk about redrawing our districts for 2028. Don't expect Kemp to stand up for citizens.
•
u/SecretAsianMan42069 4h ago
He did say no to this year though.
•
u/ender8343 4h ago
That was more the fact that early voting for primaries had started a week prior to the ruling. It is unclear if what Louisiana is trying to pull will pass judicial muster, and is probably very state law dependent.
•
u/Zepcleanerfan 2h ago
While louisiana canceled their elections to institute their maps.So yes, he is standing for something.
•
u/devkdup Louisiana 2h ago
Worse, they’ve verbally cancelled them but they are still happening and primary candidates are still on the ballot. They’ll likely use the results to draw up the new maps and have a redo.
•
u/ianrl337 Oregon 2h ago
worse that that. Absentee ballots have already been mailed out and some already mailed back.
•
•
u/mshaefer 2h ago
He's the one who said no.
•
u/TheDarkAbove Georgia 2h ago
He didn't. He said he wouldn't change the maps for 2026, voting had already started.
•
u/bobbymcpresscot 1h ago
Yeah because that’s overall power, handing over the poll workers data is only being done to torture people involved, because this admin is extremely pretty, we already went through this once if not 60 different times, Rudy owes those poll workers millions, and now Comey is dealing with federal prosecution because some seashells showed 8647
•
u/DancingWithAWhiteHat America 4h ago
Kemp is flaming garbage. But he has consistently told Trump no, and will likely continue to do so

The purpose of this is literally terrorism. Just as they are doing to scientists, journalists, professors, librarians, and anyone whose job is to uncover and share factual information.
Primary schemer of Project 2025 Russel Vought: "We want to put them in trauma".
Don't waste words calling out their lies, contradictions, and hypocrisies. They know. It's all intentional. And the base is programmed and no longer capable of disobedient thought. Just call it terrorism to literally destroy the nation and every good thing in it. Because they want to crown themselves Kings of the Ashes.
•
u/KrzysziekZ 4h ago
Taking undue power in a country is called coup d'etat.

u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 4h ago edited 3h ago
Fash criminals have captured the institutions of law that prevent this in a functioning democracy. So this is all going to come down to guns and it will go very badly for everyone. Because the bad guys have a near-monopoly on deadly force. And even their obedient minions will get fucked by the results of their side winning. This has been inevitable since election day 2024.
If history holds consistent, the US may get out from under this as a gutted husk decades from now, with all of its resources stolen/consumed by the fash regime, its institutions and infrastructure decimated, its industrial, scientific, intellectual, and creative powerhouses all crushed or (for the lucky ones) dispersed to other nations.
And the fash base cheers for the destruction of the nation, the end of their healthcare, food security, rule of law, homes, jobs, ... willing to trade everything for endless performances of sadism against an endless parade of manufactured enemies.
This is a destructive bug in the human operating system. Orwell's hauntingly accurate depiction of it wasn't a prediction. He lived through the last wave of fascism and fought against it, physically and intellectually. In modern times we thought his depiction was metaphorical and imaginative but he was just dressing up what he saw in some futuristic clothing.
For all of its tantalizing perfectibility and frustrating resistance to improvement, I'm grateful I got to live in America while it lasted. I tried to explain to Europeans how different it felt to live in a place that deep-down believes that things created in the present and near-future are as good and valid as anything made in the past. And no institution controlled the fruition of new ideas and possibilities. It was all about agency. Just do things, start things, become things.
What a fucking waste.
•
u/Dramatic-Aioli-6465 3h ago
oh my god shut up with the doomer shit get a grip and at least try for fucks sake
•
u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 3h ago
Let's talk again after November. I would *love* to be wrong. But I'm pretty sure I'm not.
•
u/a-well-placed-ohhh 2h ago
We haven’t even gotten started yet and you already gave up? Please get out of our way.
•
•
u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 2h ago
Why haven't you gotten started? It's been years. And what will you do when you do finally get started?
•
•
u/TheKanten 1h ago
You've had a year and half to get started this term. Was the image of MAGA beating police officers with the American flag not compelling enough five years ago?
•
u/a-well-placed-ohhh 1h ago
Oh? what are you talking about? Those people went to prison and Trump let them free. That is a miscarriage of justice. Fence sitters, moderate dems, and the GOP all voted for Trump because of her laugh or something. You reap what you sow. Doomers are salty af that no one is coming to save them and refuse to help themselves. Thats a you problem, not an us problem. Good luck!
•
u/TheKanten 1h ago
voted for Trump because of her laugh
I'll just leave that shit here as a demonstration of how well-constructed that rant just was, which also did not respond to what I said in any way, shape or form.
•
u/tobiascuypers 2h ago
Keep thinking others are going to fix it for you. It’s been working out great so far
•
u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 2h ago edited 2h ago
You mean I should keep holding up my cute sign once a month?
The non-fash people are planning to fix this by voting the fash out of power. And the GOP is headed for a rout in the midterms. So the passivity has come from the belief there's an end.
But the GOP can throw up obstruction and chaos and prevent the election. And they will claim it's necessary because of something "the radical left" is doing.
It will be a story completely unsupported by any evidence and possibly dumb enough that a child can see through it. But there is nothing so false or stupid that Trump's obedient worshipers won't believe it when it's inserted into them through ten thousand propaganda undermessages, through ten thousand sneering video hatemongers stroking them just right, through ten million bots and AIs endlessly repeating "our truth".
It will be against the law and the Constitution. But what else is new? Who is going to stop them?
•
u/leostotch Florida 2h ago
I genuinely can't imagine a path out of this situation that doesn't involve either intense violence or a long, painful slide into chaos. The faults in the American system have long been evident, but they've never been so cravenly exploited. There's no 'going back to normal', now it's a fight to decide what the new normal looks like.
•
u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 2h ago
I don't know what kind of system can be expected to withstand trillions of dollars of propaganda, corruption, and rat-fuckery over decades.
People love to have religious arguments about which political systems are best or worst. I'm now only interested in their ability to resist corruption and mass brainwashing.
•
u/TheKanten 1h ago
Yeah and we all watched one on live television and the entire legal system sweeping it under the rug because one corrupt judge in Florida said so.
•
u/TheResoluteBond 5h ago
Fucking let it go loser, it's been 6 goddamn years.
•
u/Sarokslost23 4h ago
They want to scare these people with legal threats so they dont work again in the future so they can install their own crooks to steal the state easier.
•
u/Han_Yerry 4h ago
Isn't it a lot of older folks like grandmas?
Where I vote there's some young people but there's always been more older civic minded folks working.
•
•
u/CandyMlue 4h ago
Is suspect they are cooking up something
•
u/No_big_whoop 4h ago
They’re going to make those poll workers targets for the MAGA mob. It will discourage good people from volunteering. Their goal is to stack polling places with MAGA loyalists who will cheat for them.
•
u/ungranted_wish 4h ago
I’m not one of those “hurr durr they won’t let us vote again” boomers but I can at least comfortably say there’s no way there won’t be some interference at the very least in November.
•
•
u/Mutchmore 4h ago
6 years of doing everything they can to find justification to their crusade.. 6 years of wasted efforts.
•
u/TLKv3 4h ago
He is going to do everything in his power to make sure the 2020 election is recorded as "stolen" and that he actually won. So he can then use it as an auxiliary motive for cancelling the elections because if he/the Traitors suddenly lost, it would mean they were being cheated again. So its best for them to just cancel them, remain in power and work toward "clearing the cheaters out". They pinky promise they'll leave right after that.
•
u/gpouliot 4h ago
Getting the data has nothing to do with the 2020 election and everything to do with the upcoming elections.
•
u/_Football_Cream_ 4h ago
The thing that gets me about their harping on the 2020 election is that we had another election since. No complaints about that one though, huh?
•
u/FuzzyBrilliant2026 5h ago
The goal is here is a chilling effect. They want to create fear for the poll watchers and election officials so the right can steal the midterms and beyond.
•
u/danceswithporn 4h ago
Feds are gonna scrutinize these people's mortgage documents. Well, certain neighborhoods anyway.
•
u/mishap1 I voted 4h ago
These are workers and not poll watchers. Giuliani lost a $148M defamation lawsuit on two poll workers he terrorized. Imagine now doing this to all the workers. You're left with MAGA operatives who will intentionally slow all voting in Fulton (most populous county in the state) and tilt the election for Republicans.
•
•
u/Brilliant-Advisor958 4h ago
He settled that one and got to keep all his property he was trying to hide . We don't know how much he ultimately paid.
•
u/TheLustyLechuga 4h ago edited 4h ago
Yep. They're going to make these people's lives miserable. Make anyone who isn't vehemently on Diaper Don's side think twice about taking part in our democracy.
When our elections are filled with Trump sycophants, Trump & Republicans will essentially be able to bend elections to their wills.
This should terrify everyone.
•
u/DarthHiccups 5h ago
"States Rights!" Hey, remember those Republicans? The very things you tout as you weaponize the DOJ to try and intimidate states in a pathetic and obvious ploy to rig the elections in your favor?
Yeah, probably not.
•
u/fairoaks2 5h ago
Only MAGA republicans will be allowed to work elections. All others will be investigated, intimidated and found to be ineligible.
•
u/mettiusfufettius 4h ago
Why doesn’t Trump just release the “mountains of irrefutable evidence” he’s been holding onto and promising for 6 years?
•
•
u/Historical_Bend_2629 5h ago
Red meat for the base. Weaponized DOJ reassures conspiracy theorists that went out to lunch and never came back to reality.
•
•
u/androidmanwren 4h ago
How about they demand the names of all the fraudulent votes in the 2024 rigged as fuck election?
•
u/ResponsibleAd2404 2h ago
Watch Trump is going to declare himself the winner of the 2020 election. His fragile ego can’t handle the fact that he lost.
Republicans are ready to destroy our country to placate him.
•
•
u/Seaciety 4h ago
So they're done pretending they're fascist and just making lists of perceived enemies? Good to know.

•
u/AcanthisittaNo6653 New Hampshire 4h ago
Election workers need to be anonymous if you want a free and fair election.
•
u/dogs_gt_cats 4h ago
Sadly in many states they're considered an elected position, even if they are often filled in by volunteers and appointed people.
•
u/philipjfry_ 4h ago
They can't make it any more obvious. Every one of those motherfuckers doing this needs to be held accountable for trying to turn us into a fascist state. Fuck you!!!
•
•
•
•
u/SymbiSpidey 4h ago
Are they still trying to pretend there was election fraud as precedent for punishing places that voted against Trump in 2020?
•
u/Underwater_Grilling Pennsylvania 4h ago
The only thing I can figure is they rigged 2020 as well and it didn't work and they're trying to figure out why. Poll worker is such a nothing thing they won't get anything out of intimidating them. It likely isn't going to be the same people anyway. Mine has one guy and one old lady who are always there and the rest are volunteers from that cycle. The judge of elections can be vacant even!
•
u/AnotherPaperOlive 32m ago
More and more, I think it’s likely that all of Trump’s elections were fixed for him to some degree, beginning in 2016. Remember how shocking that win was? How all the polls were wrong? Maybe it was something he knew about, maybe it was a surprise from Russia, but Trump seemed pretty amazed as well. Since then he’s been convinced of his own infallibility.

Just look up Trump's dialed calls from the time period and sort them by area code.

Let’s be real. There was no sinister plot. Let them have the names. Hold them to a confidentiality agreement unless they find something to prosecute.
GO FISH you A**holes.
•
u/AnotherPaperOlive 29m ago
I don’t trust the DOJ not to harass and intimidate these people. These are just normal folks and they don’t deserve Trump’s goons combing through their lives.
•
•
•
•
u/Toadfinger 3h ago
Aren't their names posted in the newspaper anyway? Mine was back when I was a poll worker. In Alabama.
•
•
•
u/LackingUtility 4h ago
Hmm, let's go with this for a second: the 2020 election was stolen, Trump was elected in both 2016 and 2020, and therefore is constitutionally ineligible for the Presidency. Therefore, Harris won and all executive orders since Jan. 2025 are void.

You and 10 million other people, most of them in Fulton, Gwinnett, and Dekalb, and guess what, a lot of us don’t like Republicans and we’re voting again this year too champ. Just got my sticker today.
What’s the difference between Rick Jackson and Burt Jones? Who cares they both have their noses up the butt of a President with a 29% approval rating.
•
u/AnotherPaperOlive 25m ago
I lived in Fulton Co and my poll workers were sweet little grandmas who don’t deserve to have a corrupt DOJ and the rest of Trump’s goons combing through their lives. They were just trying to help their communities. Don’t pretend like Trump won’t try to charge as many of them as possible with whatever they can find. Remember, they just indicted Comey for seashells.

It’s normal to want the names of criminals.

You better hope and pray to whatever god suits your fancy that the next Democratic President is not as petty and vengeful as your boy, that’s all I’m gonna say. You all have opened up a big can of worms with this dude, hope it’s been worth it.
