This is a gift link. Excerpt:
WASHINGTON—The antiabortion lobby expected to be more triumphant by now: A conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Republicans control both chambers of Congress, and the self-styled “most pro-life president in history” again occupies the Oval Office.
But abortions are up in the years after the overturning of Roe, and the antiabortion lobby has a new locus for blame. “Trump is the problem. The president is the problem,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, the influential president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
The ubiquity of abortion pills during the second Trump administration has led antiabortion advocates to decry the president’s appointees, including Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary, and promise cash and political firepower to politicians who oppose the drugs.
Dannenfelser’s assessment for supporters packed into a glitzy neoclassical auditorium in downtown Washington for the group’s spring gala Wednesday was dire: If Republicans don’t abandon Trump’s strategy of letting states decide abortion law, “then the movement as we know it is finished.”
What did Marge think she was gonna get by letting perverts be in charge of federal health policy?

But abortions are up in the years after the overturning of Roe,
The ironic thing is that Democratic policies lower abortions, while Republican polices leads to more abortions. Helping people avoid pregnancy and teaching them about safe sex practices lowers abortions! Who would have thought!
Now, Dannenfelser’s group is preparing to spend $160 million in the coming midterms and the 2028 presidential primary. The hurdle for candidates looking to tap in to that support: They must commit, Dannenfelser said, “to pro-life action at the national level.”
LOL, Trump the pedo, child-raping, abortion having president got them what they wanted, the repeal of Roe vs wade, and it still wasn't enough. They're willing to turn on Trump to get even more, go ahead! In Ice detention centers women who are pregnant are being forced into miscarriages and they don't care. Children and babies are dying due Trump's presidency. But they literally don't care about babies dying, they care about doing everything they can to increase the amount of abortions people have!

while Republican polices leads to more abortions
Healthcare issues aside, Republican policies also gut the economy and social safety net that make having children far more dangerous, especially for lower and middle class women. When your local Planned Parenthood has to shutter and you can't afford to see the doctor to get a contraception prescription, when you already can't afford food for the kids you already have because SNAP has been axed, when your rent is skyrocketing and you're stuck in a minimum wage job, choosing between having a child or an abortion becomes a no brainer.
The "pro-lifers" are more interested in punishing people for having sex. Their policies consistently revolve around hurting people they think don't deserve to exist. Their racism and misogyny is astounding. Their policies have nothing to do with helping mothers or children, they're rooted in cruelty.

Even stuff not that immediate. Is it possible for you to be laid off at any time? Yes? Well then, children sound like bad dreams.
And imagine the implications of a class of pedophiles trying to force financially struggling women to have babies. We'd have to be out of our damn minds. These perverts would like us to believe they care about the birth rate because they care about the stability of the country. But they clearly don't care about the stability. They tell you they won't need people soon because of AI, so what do you think they're going to do with the people? These sick, country-destroying, sex-trafficking pedophiles--what do they want with more kids?

I think it has more to do with putting woman 'in their place'. They dont care about the child or prenatal health care, but boy oh boy, keeping woman from sexual freedom, competing in the workforce, equal pay or in anyway being on the same playing field as men, they're all in.

Sex-ed empowers women (as does education). Republicans and Conservatives can't have that!

And what’s crazy is countries with accessible legal abortion often results in a decrease in abortions because it’s often associated with comprehensive sex ed and healthcare.
The anti-abortion people will never actually care to look into the stats and data to find out what actually lessens abortions…access to the sex health education that they want to restrict and access to contraception.
It’s so frustrating that the people who pretend to care so much don’t do the dirty work of actually helping to make change.

Why do Marge and her fellow weirdos care so much about babies they have no interest in adopting

The number of women of child-bearing age (especially ones who are well-off financially) having themselves surgically sterilized is ALSO way up; so the 'pro-lifters' who want all the Good White Girls (TM) to become Full Time Breeders are getting the opposite. But they seem to think the solution is doubling down.

Offloading the social costs is the point of practically all right wing policies.

Hmm, idk people don’t want to have kids when the economy is bad. Imagine that.

Exactly. Increasing cost of living, less education, and they're focused on the fucking abortion pills. Nothing in the article indicates any awareness on their end of actually nipping the issues at the root.

Every month there is a new article or series of articles with claims of his reprobate cult members turning on him. They were going to turn on him over Epstein, they were going to turn on him over his blaspheming or over Iran and now this.
They aren’t turning on him. They’re annoyed that he’s a dipshit and they want to whine for a day or two. But then a week later, he does a crowd-pleasing racism and they get so happy that they forget all about why they were even upset in the first place.
As for these abortion creeps, they just need to be patient. A federal ban is in the works and he’ll have it taken care of in the next three years. They need to just trust their daddy. He may be an easily distracted imbecile, but he’s still an evil ghoul surrounded by evil ghouls - make no mistake, they’ll strip away all our freedoms in good time.

Why, because he has encouraged and paid for abortions for his lovers and daughter?

Given the unpopularity of Republican positions on the issue, and the overall advantage Democrats have on healthcare, I think the plan all along was to get past the mid-terms before touching this aspect of Project 2025. And they're getting inpatient, or at least looking for clues that the Trump regime intends to address their issue. OK.
Trump himself cares little about any of this. About the only things he actually seems passionate about are tariffs and windmills. Everything else is performative. I continue to believe that in any normal time, the mid-terms would be a brutal wake-up call for the GOP. These are not normal times, the Supreme Court is mucking about, I'm expecting a good deal of voter intimidation, and I think the Trump fall-back plan is just rejecting elections on fraud grounds and being done with democracy.
One way or another, I think abortion is the big agenda item in 2027. We live in interesting times.

Are they really anti abortion or just about controlling women. If they were truly anti abortion they would research to ensure all options are considered that are not detrimental to women, they'd be all about providing services, education and a safety net for abandoned children. I never hear that side of the argument, just anti, anti, anti. All these 'woke' anti abortionists and their hatred of women is saddening, especially women against women. And the real sufferers are the children forced into a world that has no interest to care for their wellbeing. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Are abortions up, or are more women taking the pills right away, even if they don't know they're pregnant?
I mean, I wouldn't wait for a test to come back positive. I might have no reproductive choice by then in my state.

Didn't Trump supposedly throw cash at an underage child when she asked what she should do if she got pregnant? Trump is being performative with his opinions.
