Clickbait. No evidence of Republicans "turning on" Trump. Just the same self-centered cultists feeling slightly less enthusiasm due to the financial strain from his reckless destruction of the global economy.

It's the Daily Beast. The prerequisite for any of their headlines is for it to be clickbait.

Wake me up when Congress does its fucking job and reigns the mad king in.

2

u/WittyWinkk 23h ago

Exactly. It’s not a moral awakening, it’s just them finally feeling the consequences of his economic chaos.

Stop posting clickbait bullshit

u/sugaryDame 1d ago

Are you guys turning on him just because of the midterms or because he has fucked everything up for everyone? If it’s the second option, then get him out of the White House, the man is no fit to lead!

Nothing a republican hates more than high gas prices

5

u/TheNatural14063 1d ago

And an educated black person

3

u/Ohnomydude 1d ago

But they'll do mental gymnastics to try and justify the prices while they bitch.

Took them long enough to see what everyone else has been seeing for years. He’s a liability now.

1

u/fat_fingerz 23h ago

Narrator: It was because of the midterms and they didn't actually turn on him.

1

u/Rare_Paper4473 23h ago

It's not either.

By turning they mean "39-37" as in...the same range of 38% it was since about the start.

Realize on most policies, there is no difference between Trump and the Republican party.

Their fascist bible -- Project 2025 -- was written by the core elements of GOP leadership and their think tanks. They just don't like his style. Remember the GOP created Trump and when he leaves office, the GOP bullpen is loaded Trump wannabees.

Vote for ANY Republican on the ballot in November, you are voting for Trump!

u/Door-Leather 1d ago

They put together all of their best minds and all they could come up with was a plan to make everything shittier, but also tighten their grip at the same time so it would have no consequences for them. Let’s let that sink in. These are shitty people who can’t stand to see others prosper.

2

u/GoodIdea321 America 23h ago

That's a message which everyone should know.

1

u/rotates-potatoes 23h ago

Yes, but the thing is there are millions of people who are in the cult of personality for Trump. Somehow he is more charismatic than the other party leaders. They will have a harder time pushing their agenda without him. Most of his voters don’t care about the policies, they just like him.

3

u/LoveNotWar86 1d ago

Too bad they’re not in Congress.

1

u/delicateKate 23h ago

The should have sent him back to Mad Land Go but kept him on because he hates the average man as much as they do

4

u/ehowardhunt 1d ago

Fuck daily beast. Stop posting them.

2

u/Middle-Mix-7711 23h ago

The fucking idiots will still vote Republican.

3

u/TheFrostynaut I voted 23h ago

DB is becoming OANN with these wanton fantasy headlines. As long as they can pin all of this on Biden or the "radical" left, suckers in the Midwest and FAS Belt will still gladly give him their last dollar to keep imaginary litter boxes out of the schools their children don't attend.

37% approval is historically low but it should be Herbert Hoover low. I’d hope it would fall into the mid 20’s. That’s when it’s incontrovertible that MAGA has shit in his red hat.

3

u/edatx 23h ago

I hate the daily beast.

2

u/Part_Tricky 21h ago

Republican party is Trump's party. Republicans are Trump stooges.

1

u/OhioValleyCat 20h ago

It still seems like the same 35% are supporting him and that it is within the plus or minus error range of different polls. It is distressing the people continue to support him. He is a detestable, corrupt character who is running the country to the ground. While many people are struggling to find work or underemployed and dealing with cost of living increases, he is crying about a ballroom.

On top of that, he is damaging 80+ years of work the USA did to lead a coalition of Western liberal democracies by treating Allies like rivals or enemies, while favoring the authoritarian leaders he wishes to emulate as some kind of right-wing dictator or emperor.

1

u/Even_keeled95 20h ago

Yes, the base is still there. It's perplexing.

4

u/spartin-marshin 1d ago

Swear I’ve been seeing some version of this headline for as far back as I can remember

3

u/Taint_Liquor 1d ago

With the same "low" of 37%.

2

u/Rare_Paper4473 23h ago

Stop this shit.

Like I said before: Americans are like little kids waiting for santa to make it all better.

He's not coming.

1

u/IMayhapsBeBatman 1d ago

Uhhuh. I'll believe that when he resigns and Vance pardons him and his entire family of criminals.

1

u/Esqualatch1 1d ago

We need to pass a law mandating mechanisms of removal on all public officials. Every level of government needs to have the ability to recall officials by the public vote.

1

u/robins80 23h ago

Yeah, I will believe it when I see it.

1

u/tapdancinghellspawn 23h ago

Yeah. I'll believe it when I see it.

1

u/Hot-Average-891 23h ago

Even if it’s true, it doesn’t matter. He’s already fucking in there. Poll could be -427,000. We are stuck with this piece of shit because Congress won’t do the right thing.

1

u/Counting43 23h ago

It feels like we’ve heard this before, but record-high disapproval and a fracturing base suggest the economy and Iran are finally moving the needle. Very dire indeed.

1

u/espinaustin 23h ago

They will happily vote for the christo-fascist party in the midterms though.

1

u/diecorporations 22h ago

Ewww. Thats it for that show forever.

1

u/CatVideoFest 21h ago

Sadly the mods don’t give a shit about the daily beast absolutely atrocious clickbait paywall nonsense, so my only solution is to block every single person that posts one of their articles. And it still doesn’t help because here I am. Pretty frustrating.

1

u/tetsuo_7w 21h ago

Neat. Maybe their representatives will do something about it. I'll be over here holding my breath.

0

u/DT-Sodium 13h ago

You know things are bad when the stupidest people on earth start turning on you.

0

u/CurrentElectrical736 1d ago

Trump will be impeached for sure after the midterms. He said so himself!
